Does it matter what type of silver you use?
@petpawteek8776

Using stainless steel like in the video will give you a tarnish proof surface but is much harder to stamp as the metal is harder. Using actual silver, will require a much lighter touch with the hammer. It will tarnish, but can easily be removed with a polishing cloth if you don’t like the look.

This video helped me immensely. I used a 426 1-1/4" Fiberglass Reinforced cutoff wheel and followed her directions. I was using a small demitasse type spoon and only wanted to use the handle for a mosaic. I set the Dremel on high speed and it literally took maybe a minute or 2. I then filed the ends.

Try putting a piece of tape where you want the hole (the bit won't slip as much).☺

that yellow/gold color is really pretty. i wouldn't have considered painting them with that kind of paint. i just melt crayons on them or use permanent marker centers that i rip apart. Thanks for cluing me in on a new idea. :)

Thank you! I’ve been wanting to do this for years and finally bought a bit yesterday. I especially appreciate the comparison between the hand drill and the drill press.

I didn’t get how you made it shiny? I’m hard of hearing and captions don’t always say or say it wrong. They are pretty. I do have a dremel that I have never used, still in the box. But this be a nice little project. Still like to know how you make it shiny as that would look pretty with lights reflecting off them.

I know this video was a decade ago. FYI: petunias are heavy feeders. I have summer droughts. If you want pants that will comeback and don’t need a lot of water try a variety of sedums and cactus. Or do a kitchen herb planter. I recommend using landscape fabric as the cocochoir will only last a season. Another suggestion; which I do in my open wire window boxes is I have them lined with cocochoir and then landscape fabric… less watering and holds the nutrients.
