I am a huge Taylor Swift fan like she is my life and she helped me get through something scary like surgery or a procedure or needle so my mom whenever we always go for like blood labs she’s like ” go get me a swiftie nurse “ and we talk about our favorite album favorite song and then that takes my mind off of any scary thing that we’re doing so that helps me get through it

I decided to switch from getting into Radiology school to Nursing school not only because of the large pay gap, but also because they're simply many more opportunities in Nursing with so many specialties. I passed all of my prereq courses for Nursing such as Human A&P 1+2 w/lab component with straight A's and scored an 87 on the TEAS (for my school I needed atleast a 60%) and waiting to see if I'll be accepted into the program!

Hello Paola, what did you and other students find the most challenging, was it the pre-requisites prior to applying to nursing school, or was it nursing school itself; if so, what concepts did you and other students find challenging in nursing school, or does it depend the individual?

haha the prerequisites are nothing compared to nursing school! it is challenging because you are repeatedly learning new information. prerequisites usually build on prior knowledge from high school etc.

@paolaminette Hello, thank you for your response. Regarding note taking, what made you switch from an iPad to a MacBook? Did you find it more comfortable to type on MacBook instead of the iPad's magic keyboard? During class did you learn the best by having your PowerPoint open on your laptop or iPad and write some key notes down on paper, or did you split the screen with PowerPoint and Microsoft word running simultaneously, and you would type down key words in Microsoft word? What are your thoughts on highlighting, writing, and drawing important concepts on the PowerPoint slides, with an iPad while the professor was teaching; did you find this to be more distracting because you would focus on being creative instead of quickly typing key notes into Microsoft word? Or did you find that everyone had a different learning style? Next, what concepts did nursing students struggle with the most?
