So Murray works at this pace making 2.3 blades per day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year for 26 years. That’s what it takes to make 22,000 blades

My Great Uncle is the late Jud Nelson....he is one of the main founders of 2 blacksmithing organizations, that kept the practice alive....you can see him make a wagon wheel in FoxFire #9 book....he always had peanut's in his top overalls bib pocket, and he would always give me a few, as he sipped water from an old soup tin can

My heart always races everytime the eliminated contestant surrenders the weapon. Because I always think that he might get angry and would keel the judges with that weapon

Both kilijs weren't so accurate, Matt got the curve slightly wrong while Ryan got thickness all wrong. It should had been thicker at back side like Matt did. This was also why Matt's sword was cutting way better while Ryan's was twisting instead. Matt's handle however was just scandalous, if he did better work for handle he was going to win..

These are typical high Ottoman era adopted shamsir style kılıçs. Yatagan is totally different, shorter, bending the opposite side (towards the enemy not against it), don't have a real hilt guard and has ears at the end of the pommel.

This is the kind of ruling that stopped me from watching this show. Yeah I watched this video since it came up on my screen but was disappointed in the ruling. I make knives and would never put myself through that kind of pressure. It's pressure enough when I make a custom blade for a client and I have 2 months to do it. My hats off to those who go on this show.
