Have you tried copying them into the Vital presets location? In Vital you can click "show presets folder" and copy my presets right in there. Also be sure you're using Vital 1.55 or they may not load

i have one question : when i change track, the modwheel of the first track is still activated by the remote. i have to first disable the modhweel control on the first track in order to be able to automate the second track's modwheel. am i doing something wrong ? i would love to be able to control only the track im recording on.. is this an ableton limitation or should i do something about it ? thanx a lot

Is there any reason you couldn't just send this to a vox reverb return and then have that return duck the vox track?
@djmyr
@djmyr Ай бұрын
You could definitely do that - I do sometimes run reverb sends but I sometimes do some processing after the reverb too (like LFOTool, etc) which I may not want on every track's reverb. I'll do it the way you see it in the video for tracks I want to have more control over the reverb tail without changing the reverb of other tracks

Heey man, big fan of your videos! Learned a ton from it! Would you ever consider making a video in the style of Denis Kenzo. I think that kind of emotional prog trance is a bit forgotten and it would be cool to see and discover it more. Anyway! Thanks for all you cool stuff you're sharing!

Do people really need to see all these talking-heads in the corners of their screens when discussing these kinds of things? Are we going to be worse off for it, otherwise? Are they talking-head synth buttons/dials/sliders that we can press, turn, slide or something, or that, if on a real synth, would crack, come loose or slip off? Are they AI's of some sort, or narcissism brandings and/or downgrades? Why select the 'thumb up' or 'subscribe'? Unhappy and/or insulted by what I just wrote? As if we all need to love your talking-head and crave to kiss it or something? Then how about a compromise: Shrink it down to emoji-size or the size of our YT icons. kzbin.info/www/bejne/jYfJfKyNoteEkLMfeature=shared

Hello and thank you for such important and thorough tutorial for essential Sub Bass making. Is it possible to automate the EQ of SUB when it changes it's note. For ex G/F/A/C etc. Somehow make the EQ follow the core freq change? I know you mentioned a walkaround for this task - to make separate channels for each note, but the video was recorded 3 years ago, maybe something changed from days ago?

Ouch this was a teeny tiny bit painful. I dont hear any soul? I use to love trance... but why are these so "watered down"? your formula is too formulaic! Im just gonna go and say it for better or worse and please dont take this the wrong way (like dont get depressed its just a comment) but what is missing from your formula is soul, pain, hope and emotion. SO heres my theory of what went wrong. 1. the references were already copies of copies and that made these tunes, a copy of a copy.... of a copy. 2. 0 relevance to actual real life event or story. Instead try to translate the absolute drudgery of life, the pain of solitude, the euphoria of being in love (or even being in lust) and the absolute victory or glory of overcoming all odds. Like sit with the piano until you find something that makes you cry or feel ultra futuro the year 3030. Maybe watch a space documentary before going to the piano. Awe of the cosmos is a useful emotion in trance. 3 Sounds and sound design. GASH.. if this is just a hobby i get it. But try to ADVANCE the genre a bit or use an interesting technique or use less of existing stuff. EASY win with this technique, while its an EASY flop to think you can just lift someone elses tired sounds and it will be epic. You prove its not. But if its just a hobby and for funsies.. i understand!! nothing wrong with that! 4. Go back to the golden age of trance. to see where current hits come from. That pre armin van buuren era to understand why this was fresh once (and don't lift or copy anything, but instead just FEEL). You can even look at classical music straight up or gregorian chants (steal those no questions asked) I hope that is helpful and not just evil trolling (its not evil trolling)

@@KOSMIKFEADRECORDS I think you’re missing the point of this video/project. These are simple recreations/distillations of existing tracks with one basic sound each to abstract the melody from the production. My goal here is to teach the basic music theory, not give an exhausting start-to-finish guide of all things uplifting trance in 10mins. It sounds like you have an issue with modern trance as a whole. And I’ll admit it can be somewhat formulaic, which is one of the reasons I have a very sparse release schedule. But I’d argue many of these tracks define the modern sound of trance and do have the kind of “soul” you are talking about.
@KOSMIKFEADRECORDS
@KOSMIKFEADRECORDS 2 ай бұрын
@@djmyr Thanks for replying i appreciate that. 1.Brother bear my issue is not with modern trance as a whole. There are way too many innovative and deeply impactful songs that i love for that to be true. My issue is with "chords you need" and while i get its subjective and you can like whatever you want, the chords you provide here are specifically, UNhopeful, UNfuturistic and UNcosmic. Take a listen to these modern trance legends and their sounds (these things work together). Your examples were already copies of copies... and that basis destroyed the potential. Ilan Bluestone, Andrew Bayer, Gareth Emery. These guys push the genre forward while smashing the emotional aspects. Gareth emery specifically has these major dominated chords like the ones you like but with tons of suspended, 7th and 9th variations that hit the heart deeply and absolutely uplift and project futurism. 2. So what triggered me is my DEEP love for what trance actually does well... and your absolute neglect of those aspects. The title is misleading and the content disrespectful of the genre and my time invested in researching ideas for killer songs. I want you to see that trance chords are about the key things i mentioned and thats what drives the artists i provided to new hieghts. Its a bit harsh in my eyes to teach these to beginners (im not a beginner ill give you that) UNDER THE PRETENCE THAT THEY ARE WHAT YOU "NEED". They are NOT what they need. what they need is to understand how suspended major chords bend the mood toward hope and euphoria, and transient 7nth and 9nth minor chords can bring "light" and upliftment to minor progressions. 3. If you didnt spread your own lacking and misguided principals to other hungry and impressionable eager learners AND CHARGED MONEY for courses, i would have moved on. But i cant, despite your good intentions, have 20 to 30 to hundreds of new producers go into the world missing the true glory and power of this genre! and then you teach these are modern... these are NOT modern or ground breaking. I mean do you understand how much i love this shit? In conclusion, you miss the point of high end cutting edge trance, and the key bottom line formulations ENTIRELY. It reflects in your own sound choices too! It would be selfish of me to leave you and your flock in the dark when the true principals of trance are so majestic and enriching. So.. for the love of trance go to the pre armin van buuren era (he is phenominal dont get me wrong), and relearn what this genre is built on. HOPE. ENERGY. TEARS. GLORY. THE UNIVERSE. and then for yourself see the raw power that is trance and leave this undermining, underestimatin, underwhelming menality for the other fools. You mean well, you work hard..... but your audience deserves truth and power. That includes me!

One question I have . I noticed you aren’t doing many cuts to your bottom end on the leads individually? Is that something you do all together in the final bus then? As this seems to be something I’m still lacking in slightly is the overall thickness of my leads
