How long it take to get your reel back? Sent mine over a month ago and haven’t heard shit from them and can’t get ahold of anyone. I want to pay them just to give it back at this point.

I sent mine out FEB 29th and got it back APR 26th. If you call the number during a weekday they should answer or if you leave a voicemail they will call you back. It seems they only operate out of one location so they have a lot of reels to go through I’m sure. They did a good job fixing it when I finally got it back.

The tail is made from a rooster feather, hence the name Rooster Tail.

This rod was discontinued because of reel seat issues. Ask me how I know? Send in for warranty if you feel it’s worth $60 more.

No but when I first got it the reel seat actually came unglued and I had to reglue it. No problems since.

@@maineguystrek7578 unfortunately I didn’t register it for the warranty so I’m shit out of luck on that. I bought the upgraded version which has been working fine but I have still have this version sitting in my garage, I’d like to fix it if possible.

Super glue worked for me. Just make sure you’re careful. You might only get one shot at it!

I think the fish weren’t very active but you still managed to finesse a few out! Nice job 👍🏼. Also with the sounds of bugs and cicadas, maybe go back with a cicada top water lure like a Grand Siglet or something less expensive? Get some top water blow ups for us to see?

Just bought 1 of these and I'm excited as hell, will never see salt water here in great lakes. From the reviews it bombs out 1/2 oz baits like a jdm.

The quality is very good! I have caught a 15 pound blue catfish and a cow nose ray on it and it held up great against them.

To the best of your knowledge, are there any channel cats in there? I'll be there this weekend and I know my little kids won't be able to fish for smallies.

The only other species I know for sure is carp because I’ve seen a dead one floating but I would imagine there are some catfish. If you give it a try let me know what you find out!

Hey DK-Bassing, great video! I really enjoyed watching your fishing adventure at the lake and seeing you experiment with different bait techniques. It's always fascinating to see how different lures can affect fish behavior. Using jerk bait to mimic bait fish darting in and out of safety seemed like a solid strategy. The new Kayak looks great! I am looking at this same model along with the Wilderness Radar 135. I am also 6’6” and wondering about the cockpit space for my long legs. Do you feel you can stretch easily?

Yes! I don’t have the foot holds as far out as they can go and I feel extremely comfortable as far as leg room.

Yes it seems to be very good quality. It’s everything I could have wanted in a kayak. I was also looking at some of the hobie models because I knew that I wanted to be able to stand in it and this one was being sold on Facebook marketplace so I went to look at it. When I saw it in person I could tell it was exactly what I was looking for and I got it!
