Growing up in the South , in Appalachia I was in shock when I joined the military and realized black folks my age didn’t know about Mr. Wendell. I’m so glad they are learning now, and I hope to see more diversity of really great drivers in NASCAR. We all country, and we all God children

Two years ago two black criminals took my income away,so nowadays racism is inflicted on people like me that were never racist.

Believe Wendell needs to be in the Hall of Fame. Everything he went through, his determination to race against the racism that was the south in that time period. To win a race fair and square and have a racist NASCAR not give him the win. Wendell is and always will be a hero. GOD BLESS Wendell Scott #34.

He lived 5 hoses down the street from my wife's uncle in Danville Va. We would be sitting in the living room watching TV an all of a sudden the whole house would start shaking, My wife's uncle would say sounds like Wendell is getting his car ready for the race this weekend. And nobody on the whole damn block was bothered by the noise, just another day. This was 1973 I am not 100 % pos of the year.

45:20 that’s my problem with Bubba Wallace. It doesn’t matter any to me that Wallace is black, white, green, purple… but looking at it as a white guy, Bubba doesn’t respect his position regardless of color, nor appreciate how easy he has it as a black man compared to the past that really isn’t that many years ago. Wendell Scott had class. Listening to his family speak of him so warmly and respectfully was a blessing to me. Again, as a white guy and one that grew up in New Hampshire it is incomprehensible to me that Wendell Scott was treated so poorly like he was. I was a teenager in the 1970s and went to a private school- not that my parents could afford that- and we had a number of black students, some Korean kids, etc. I just never saw or heard any of that senseless crap against black people. Again, just incomprehensible to me.

Wendell Scott. Name alone is overwhelming. 'Cause I was born in '63. No cell phones when I was growing up. My oldest Brother Grady is so into performance, I tagged along. Seeing guys working on their own cars/racing. That'what I saw. Loved all that saw(except wrecks). Racing resides in my blood. Hooked from age 5. So glad. I just couldn't imagine life without. It was normal 4 me at a stoplight with my brother hearing a car with a "HARD HITTIN' CAM" pull beside. "SUCH A SYMPHONY" of "Dynamic Music."

Very sad, such a good hard working man and family to be treated as such. How could a real man ever really except and take a victory and trophy that's not his! I don't care what petty and Waltrip say, they knew and raced as well. Mostly all those drivers back then would and or did give up there souls to get Victory lane.

There's no doubt that the Great Window Scott was one of the best race car drivers of all time with many wins to his name through good times and bad but to me his greatest victory was his wife and children what a legacy kids going to college to have a better life than he did all from turning a wrench and a steering wheel god bless windell
