I have one of those knives but never considered using it for wood carving. Now I will add it to my carving tool collection.

I was incredibly surprised by their sequoias. I went around middle of November - leaves were changing. Around 2 or 3 pm the suns rays hit spots very beautifully. A truly amazing place. Some people like things when they bloom Which of course is great. But even out of bloom, each native plant is doing something important for all the animals.

My son (was one of the youngest carvers when he started) and I did these with the Master. The best ever. Wonderful feature. Captured the experience.

Yep, I was in my early teens in the 60’s. Would go to Clifton’s and then to the show. There was a sign that said you could eat for free if you had no money. There were so many things to look at and the waterfalls!! It was really a adventure to go to Cliftons back in the day. I hear it is not the same, since the sale and remodel, and not for the better. Too bad, another great LA landmark sold out.

Yeah, Clifton's! Very nice piece. You guys really let the story tell itself. Very easygoing filming and editing. :)

Rod Tyree Thank you so much, Rod! We appreciate your support. Please check back tomorrow -- we'll be posting our latest video in the Explore California series. It's about Bart's Books in Ojai. It's an outdoor bookstore... very 1960s with tons of history and literary charm.
