Agent Orange sunset.. its the biologic weapons used on our soldiers.. its not an Asian orange...... Agent Orange.. its deadly hence the rashes Agent Orange was a herbicide mixture used by the U.S. military during the Vietnam War. Much of it contained a dangerous chemical contaminant called dioxin. Production of Agent Orange ended in the 1970s and is no longer in use. The dioxin contaminant however continues to have harmful impact today.

Bill Medley murdered his wife just a few months ago. Well at least he is the one that has gotten charged for it.

My great grandfather was a ww2 veteran, to what we know he only got to Townsville but he sadly had the rash that would come and go until he passed away in 1982. From everything that is known it was from the mustard gas they were testing.

The moon landing was 20 July 1969 (21 July in Vietnam) so the ‘he was going home in June’ line was anachronistic. It would have meant that Frankie had only just started his deployment. The rest of the song is remarkably redolent of a 6th Battalion digger’s experience though.
@johnnichol94123 күн бұрын
6 RAR commenced their second tour on the 8th May 1969, the incident referred to in the song happened on the 21st July 1969 just over two months later. As a normal tour was 12 months they weren't due for RTA until May 1970. The use of June with moon was purely to rhyme and has nothing to do with actual dates.

I think Tilaluha failed to capture the Filipino audience because the video featured Korean actors not Filipinos. I suggest you check out the Wish Bus version of the song because they really sound better live.

We live in a world where everyone wants instant gratification and unfortunately it is rare for people to really pay attention to songs like this and understand all the things that we have to fulfill our selfish desires are possible because of the people that endured war to maintain our free western societies

Fancy's story isn't that her mom sold her into that life, as if to realize a profit for herself, but rather her mom didn't know how she was going to take care of her. She spent her last cent to give her daughter a chance at survival, practicing the only profession she could see for her daughter. Then she died of her illness. This visit home is Fancy coming back to make peace with the memory of her mom.
