Hi , as in the video check if the end of the motor , the pump bit , is actually turning . Also make sure the pipe on the motor is connected and not blocked . Hope this helps , good luck

Thanks for posting. This happens with my pump every winter. It's a pain to take it all apart, but only takes 7 minutes start to finish. I use needle nose pliers to rotate the shaft. I think I'll flush (!) mine through with a few pints of water at the end of season, so no gunk can form.

Looking at the state of the pipes when you pulled the pump out, the inside of the tank needs a good clean or it will happen again. I took the pump out completely and soaked it in a bowl of water with added Miltons overnight. I then filled the tank with water adding 3 capfulls of Miltons and left it to soak for 48 hours. Drained the tank, then using my garden sprayer which has a long thin nozzle, set about scraping and spraying off the black gunge from the inside walls of the tank accessing it through the hole in the top of the tank that the pump came out of. The garden sprayer nozzle was set to the jet position rather than the misting position, so it acted like a mini power washer! Constant flushing and draining followed and by the time I'd finished the tank was looking much cleaner. I now plan to not add any more "pink stuff" to the flushing tank, and only use clean water. The other option is to have a hand sprayer filled with pink stuff next to the loo, and flush the bowl by hand to prevent the tank clagging up again. Hope this helps?

You don't need to use an expensive original Thetford pump. These motors are available everywhere for a fraction of the cost.

Also just to add when tensioning the spring (the plastic wheel cog you turned) look from the side of the blind and you will see a slot allowing this cog to be turned with a screwdriver, you can access this slot with the blind fitted.

Great! Thanks for the quick response. I tried AMCap which managed to access the MD80 (you have to hold down the power button a few seconds to switch to webcam mode, despite someone else found its the Mode button - probably different firmware). However, it did not work properly, but showed me what capture device to select and I got it working with other software I had. Yes, NOT superglue! Will use Bostic. Thanks again.

Nice video, Thanks! Mine had the same problem, but I could not find a video on adjusting it, so just gave it a bash. Managed to open and adjust it quite easily. I just overtightened one screw slightly and cracked the light grey plastic, but not too serious. Stumbled upon your video after doing it, so was interesting to see how you did it. I have not yet managed to make it work as a webcam, so did it the hard way by trail and error! I have not re-glued the lens yet. What glue did you use?
