Uk rspcb says hen harries and others being snatched. Transmit until they dont. I say stop tracking them then. Poachers can probably find them easy once tagged. Scanning areas at night knowing the thing wont fly away. We all seen the owls F with the eagle at night. Eagle just sits there too scared to fly off though. Or as we call them. Pets 😢

Allan you're Photos look great on this lens since it's an older lens is it internal zoom or is it external zoom and is it ultrasonic driven or is it gear driven I'd like to know I w this . These old lenses they're less complicated than the new lenses .

I've printed up to 30x40 with the Fuji XE1 and the D700 so exactly how big do you need to print? I have a number of 16x12 prints from cameras ranging from 12mp full frame sensor to a 40mp apsc sensor and even I don't know which is which with any certainty.

My paternal great grandmother grew up in the castle. Daughter of the laird. My father told me he visited the castle as a child. There is a portrait of the Duke of Argyll in the foyer of the castle that is a spitting image of my father. So my father was a genetic throwback.

It is good to see a camera review from another Cumbrian , I have recently bought a D300 , having used a D90 for 14 years , the D300 now sells used for about the same price as a used D90 but with much better AF and also by using non cpu lens data will work better with my AI & AIS lenses .

Images are good, but if you do not show what lens it is, it is rather pointless, since Tamron made several versions of the 200-500 and their performance is not all the same. Earlier versions were corrected for green and blue; following versions for reds; more recent ones underwent more lens changes....

Enjoyed your opinion and photos obtained using the D300 camera body. I'm guess we are about the same age and share in the Lord's mastery of showing heads he was proud to display while covering those less noteworthy with hair. It's 2024 and I just purchased a D300 body having enjoyed a D70 and D80 up to now. I'm a hobbyist, at best, my lens collection including the Nikon 28-70 and the 70-210 Series D. I like older things, that have proven their worth and still function as intended. Thank you for sharing and God Bless.

Well that was exciting. I played this,and within 4 minutes had a blackbird sitting 2 metres from me! Interestingly a little finch also answered the call.

I got a D700 2 year ago after my D300 broke down after 13 years use. I will use it as a wildlife camera. i have an old screw driver AF 300mm F2.8.
