Is there some sort of an update to this that anyone knows and could explain that would be much appreciated.... I've done everything in this and replaced with the new appdata folder where the original shaders are now held but it doesn't seem to populating the P: disk folders even though it definitely 'created' them.... they just stay empty even after I've run the bat file and started my session of PoE the folders on P: stay without any files being created which means I am guessing it's not working.... anyone with knowledge on this issue plz help us... I've been trying everything for months without an answer

hmm im not sure how to write the batfile. i installed POE on my C drive but then put in onto my D drive. now my Minimap folder for example is in the Appdata...POE folder. i also have all the other folders there (except ShaderCacheD3D11_GI, i dont know what this is and cant find it anywhere). i do find the D3D11 and HLSL shaders in the Steamlibrary folder as well but there they have ".packed" as folder name endings. and also the shaders have up to over 500mb. i wrote down this now, havent tried it yet tho. so in my Steam folder i dont have the Minimap folder. in my Appdata folder i dont have the HLSLShaders folder. mkdir p:\CachedHLSLShaders mkdir p:\ShaderCacheD3D11 mkdir p:\ShaderCacheD3D11_GI mkdir p:\MOTDCache mkdir p:\minimap mklink /D "D:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Path of Exile\CachedHLSLShaders" p:\CachedHLSLShaders mklink /D "C:\Users\User\AppData/Roaming\Path of Exile\ShaderCacheD3D11" p:\ShaderCacheD3D11 mklink /D "D:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Path of Exile\ShaderCacheD3D11_GI" p:\ShaderCacheD3D11_GI mklink /D "C:\Users\User\AppData/Roaming\Path of Exile\MOTDCache" p:\MOTDCache mklink /D "C:\Users\User\AppData/Roaming\Path of Exile\Minimap" p:\minimap im not sure which ShaderCache folders to use. the folders in my Appdata POE folders have like 30mb for the D3D11 for example. the same folder name (with "ShaderCacheD3D11.packed" folder name) in the Steam Library POE folder has over 500mb for example. so im not sure what to use now

3.23 if u do all what people in comment and video talk, try 1) find production_Config.ini (C:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\Documents\My Games\Path of Exile\production_Config.ini) 2) ADD cache_directory=E: (change disk name for your new disk) under [GENERAL] 3) i use vulkan and adaptive vsync and still not work, but after swap on QUICK thats finally done, glhf

gonna give this is try thanks. really hard for me to enjoy the game with all the lag spikes and stutters when i shouldnt have issues at all on my system.

My Documents folder is in my OneDrive... for whatever reason what about that?

*IMPORTANT NOTE After 3.23, size should be bigger than 100 MB else it gets full and it will no longer be able to put new shaders in it, aka crashes every time you try to load a new shader. Im not sure how much is needed, but I will go with 1000 MB
