I was in a similar boat a while back, working in a completely different field and feeling totally stuck. I was working in fashion and the pay was terrible, and the hours were brutal. It felt like there was no way out. I knew I was capable of more, but the path forward seemed impossible. I eventually found UX design, but the interviews were a nightmare! I'd get asked about the most obscure design principles, things I hadn't even touched since university. It felt like they were testing my memory, not my actual ability to design and solve problems. Honestly, it got so bad that I started using an AI tool that listens to the interview and gives you answers in real time. I know it sounds crazy, but it actually helped me get past those initial screenings and show off my real skills. I ended up landing a fantastic UX role, and I haven't looked back since. This video is great though, and gives really good advice.

Amazon, Temu, Shein are few portals that follow dark patterns. There are quite a few websites or portals that has not-so-good UX designs..Eg : Grammarly Onboarding (they need to work on personalisation better)

As someone who has spent years in data science, it's incredible to see a video like this distill the fundamentals of data analytics so effectively. I remember when I first started in this field-data seemed like an untamed beast, and every analysis felt like climbing a mountain without a map. Over time, I realized that understanding why the data matters is just as important as knowing how to analyze it. This video is a fantastic resource, not just for beginners but also for seasoned professionals looking for a clear reminder of the basics we sometimes overlook. The way it explains the data lifecycle-collection, cleaning, analysis, and interpretation-is spot on. I particularly appreciated the emphasis on storytelling with data, which is often what separates a good analyst from a great one. To anyone starting their data journey, my advice is this: focus on building a solid foundation, like the one outlined here. Tools and technologies will change, but the principles of critical thinking, problem-solving, and curiosity will always be your strongest assets. Kudos to the creator for making data analytics so accessible-this is a resource I’d recommend to anyone in the field!

Imagine you want to build a home. To do this effectively, you'll need both an architect and an interior designer. These roles help illustrate the complex digital design concepts of UX, UI, and CX, making them easier to understand by relating them to the familiar process of creating a functional and visually appealing home. • UX Design (User Experience Design): Think of a UX designer like an architect for a home. They plan the layout, ensuring the kitchen, bedrooms, and bathrooms are logically placed for easy access. Their focus is on making sure everything in the home is functional and makes sense for daily living. • UI Design (User Interface Design): The UI designer is like an interior designer. They choose colors, furniture styles, and decorations to make the home visually appealing and comfortable. Their job is to ensure the home’s interior is aesthetically pleasing. • CX Design (Customer Experience Design): Now this one is new, but equally as important to understand. Adding to the home analogy, CX design is like overseeing the entire experience of owning the home, from the initial purchase to daily living, including services like maintenance and upgrades. It ensures that every interaction with the home is satisfying and meets expectations, covering all aspects of the homeowner's journey. • Integration All three roles need to collaborate closely. A well-planned layout (UX), beautiful interior (UI), and thoughtful overall ownership experience (CX) ensure that the home is not only functional and inviting but also continually meets the needs of its residents.

@ 5:47 of the video, you mentioned you disagree with the opinion that product designers have a business focus because UX designers 'SHOULD' have a business focus as well. Now I disagree with that because everyone in a development team SHOULD have a business focus (as an added advantage). In that way, discussions and decisions will be centered on the users and the business. Also, having a business focus for a UX designer is not same as that of a product designer. Ideally, a product designer understands business/marketing strategy and can weave that into his/her design decisions. He can therefore contribute to product strategy. In other words, a UX designer solves users problems, but a product designer solves the business problem THROUGH solving the users' problems. And in fact, I see you're mixing a couple of things up here. UX design is not same as UI/UX design. A UX designer plans the experience of a user and converts that into wireframes, whereas a UI design transforms that plan into visually appealing interfaces. But a UI/UX designer is someone who can function as 'BOTH' UI designer and UX designer. Then, a product designer (as i mentioned earlier) is a UI/UX designer who understands business/marketing strategy and can weave that into his design decisions to help ensure the product succeeds in the market. That's the difference between these things...
