If your anamorphic lens is 2x & your camera is A6400, which has only 16:9 video recording aspect ratio, then the resulting de-squeezed aspect ratio will be 3.55:1 & not 2.4:1 as you mentioned. You have not only de-squeezed the footage but have also cropped the frame horizontally by almost 30%.

I got the software working fine, but when I import a video and it starts stitching, the video goes blank. The audio plays, but there’s no video. Any idea what might be causing this?

So sorry to hear about that!! There should not be any connection between downloading the files and your OneDrive UNLESS, instead of simply downloading the files, you somehow made a sync connection to my OneDrive folder...

@@AndreGranjo Thank you for the reply. Negative, so I tried it first on my PC, I got the black screen, so I put the files in a USB and tried it on my wifes PC, there it worked. Both out OneDrives went bonkers. Seems to be something with the registry fix file, since it's modifying Microsofts files, and OneDrive is Microsoft, may be something to do with that. Probably the best scenario for this instalation is to first perform a Registry Back up, or do the inslation in a VM Machine. Either way, thank you for providing the Fix as it does work and it did get me through the trenches. God Bless

@edwardvega5747 the registry value that is changed has ABSOLUTELY nothing to do with OneDrive. It only tells the installation program that the correct .NET framework is already installed.

This is excellent! I'm recording a choir concert in a few days, and during today's rehearsal I encountered the overheating issue. I will try to recreate this, potentially with a bigger fan running at a lower RPM. Other solutions I've pondered are pre-frozen cooling elements or even liquid cooling. It should be possible to run the camera without battery, so a small fan or a (liquid) cooler could potentially be crafted to be inserted instead of the battery. Maybe just adding a passive radiator could work too. Or a "phone cooler". They exist. FYI, someone has released this design as a product on Etsy.

I built the cooler. It works great. The fan noise should not be underestimated. A separate microphone positioned at a distance is necessary.

The noise is there, for sure. Have you tried to use the Insta360 wind mufflers?

@@AndreGranjo No, Lo probé con el complemento Studio 360 y Davinci Resolve. Esto está bien para una entrevista y aplicaciones promedio. Lo usas para grabaciones de conciertos. Seguramente usas un micrófono aparte, ¿verdad? También me gustaría ampliar mis opciones para grabar música. El ruido no es un problema. Siempre tengo varios micrófonos.La iluminación es más problemática. Por el momento estoy experimentando con: Manuel/Flat/-0.5/6000Kelvin/320 ISO/25/24 fps.

Thanks - that worked. Now black stitched videos are also fixed by turning off my NVIDIA display adapter and using the built-in Intel. Had to restart Gear 360 Director. Not ideal but at least I can get my videos stitched!

The reason for overheating is the thickness of the device. This is specifically why Apple is so particular in reducing the thickness of the iPhone and iPad even though it's not really more desirable or useably practical. They're fast and don't overheat mostly because there is no thickness to retain heat. I have the X3 and keeping it cool has always been an issue. I have thought about removing the battery and creating it buying something to insert into the battery slot to cool the camera from within. This might be the only true solution.

What a shame that Samsung doesn't support it anymore, I was about ta buy an insta 360 and now I can just use my gear 360 to record 360 vids, really good enought for me for the moment. Thanks to you, I'm not returning the Insta360 X4 that I precisely bought for recording my concerts, and after less than 30 mins 8K, it turns off because overheating. Your little trick allows me now to record more than an hour. Thanks again, and Insta360 should thank you too!.. 🙌🏻

@@AndreGranjo Obrigado!.. Can you please tell how you render 8K videos (software, format, bitrate, etc. do you use InstaStudio?) I ask because I use Premiere Pro and I used to record 360 videos of my concerts with my old X2 in 5.7k and now with the X4 in 8K I don't see so much differences in quality, it's pretty the same and actually it seems a bit noiser. Yours videos look sharper.
