Can you just chop up raw shrimp?
@CroixValley4 ай бұрын
Because the shrimp become insulated by the stuffing, we do not recommend chopping up raw shrimp and cooking the appetizer without the shrimp being cooked first. You can always chop them up and use a skillet to cook the shrimp first if you want to skip the grill, but using raw shrimp in the stuffing is not advised (it would take much longer and a higher temperature to make them safe to eat).

@CroixValley Made it yesterday and put them on a rack on the BBQ. They turned out GREAT. And I did use raw shrimp. I cut them up in small pieces. After seeing your video I looked at others, they used raw shrimp. So yes, you can. 😁 Just wanted to add, I did not use stuffing, I put some breadcrumbs. 😁

where did you source the piglet? Local? On-line? Thx
@CroixValley11 ай бұрын
You can source these online from numerous sources if you search for "roasting pig". The one used in the video was about 40 pounds, and you can usually order them anywhere from 20-50lbs. In our particular case, we purchased it from a local meat market. Most butchers at a meat market will be able to bring them in for you, but online sources are readily available as well. Enjoy!

I need help....i have the BL800 and have tried to smoke on it many times. I set it to 180F but this thing consistently runs like 100 over, even set to 180 it runs at like 250-300 constantly. I can never smoke my food long enough because the grill is always running to hot, what gives? im ready to turn it in for scrap metal at this point and get one with a variable fan instead Its only a year old at this point too, suggestions please

How long???
@CroixValley3 жыл бұрын
Usually a minimum of about 10-12 minutes, but it depends upon the temp of your grill or smoker. You can go as long as 1/2 hour at low temps (225 for example) or if you're closer to 300, 12 minutes should be fine!
