It’s interesting to look back at Keenan’s game before the Worm guard.

"If it seems like a lot of steps, that's because it is." That line brings me to tears every time. So funny.

This is so ahead of its time. Flo grappling were recently doing video analysis on Tainan using the same passing method. I can’t believe this video is 10 years old.

I wonder how that type of game is affecting your lower back in the long run.

I'm going to have to borrow the "you're going to take his lunch money" line when coaching fighters. Hahaha! That was awesome.

Hey Dan, I don't know if you'll get this but I wanted to find out if you'll ever consider filming an instructional or something again? Something about how to teach, how to develop a curriculum etc. I've learned a TON from you since you were a Purple and I can't say the same about anyone else. There's just something about the way you communicate concepts and ideas that stick. Please man. Future customer here.

Nice video, very impressive. Also it would be really cool if you made another sort of guard study like the Keenan one.

Good stuff. Love the back step technique to pass lasso. Last guy did a great job keeping pressure and keeping Nolan defensive and away from his bread n butter. Congrats.

Almost 11 months of bjj and I sometimes go back to the fundamentals. This actually taught me something right now even though I've been training for a while! Good job with the instructionals!

This is far more aggresive game than his lapel game. I think, if he had stayed with this game( spider open guard type) he would have had at least one world championship. This is only my thoughts but with great spider you can win everything ( Romulo, Langhi)

yeah he sold out, he made tons of money of lapel guard tho. But lapel guard is kinda iffy.

Just before the main slap Sam had reached out with his right hand and there was mild contact. You can review it on the video. The organizers felt this was grounds for removal from the tournament.
