Hey I bought an aftermarket Android stereo for my 2018 corolla, everything works except for the steering wheel controls and the reverse camera. Everything in the harness that came with the stereo connected with the cables in the car except for one. I couldn't complete one connection because the adapter coming out of Corolla was wider than the adapter in the harness. How can I fix reverse camera and steering wheel controls?

Great video! First side by side I've seen. The S makes the R look immature and that gaudy wing on the back doesn't help either. S looks better inside and out. If anyone is paying the markup on the R instead of going with an Acura is silly

@JohnNguyenVincent The radio face is a little different. The IM has integrated airbag displays and in the Corolla is a separate unit you attach to the radio faceplate

NICE video! My 2015 looks different than yours. Also in another of your videos, you mounted the gps antenna right behind the headunit. Does the gps still work fine? Also don't you need to disconnect the battery before making these disconnections and such?

@@JohnNguyenVincent actually, i just installed it and i didn't disconnect the battery and everything is fine. Although i mounted the gps antenna with the mic above the driverside a pillar on the windshield. THANKS!

Hey bud! I have an identical car to yours question about your car seats. I popped in the diono seats from my wife’s car and they really don’t seem to fit too well. What model are you running and do you have any fitment issues? They just don’t seem to fit very tight and seem loose. Thanks!

I’m having a hell of a time deciding between DE5 and FL5. Honestly, what do you recommend and why did you choose the type S over the type R? I love the wing, front end, seats, dash, and history of the type R, BUT I love the added luxury/creature comforts, rear end, and exhaust of type S 😅

I was in the market for both and could have gotten either for MSRP. My first choice was the Type R until I considered some key reasons: -The Civic name and how closely the FL5 resembles a regular Civic/hatchback. This issue plagued the previous generation FK8, where the base model FK7 made them look overly modified and "riced out." - The Integra looks more aggressive, and I prefer its overall design. - The exhaust sounds significantly better. - The Integra has a superior sport/comfort adaptive suspension setup (though this can be addressed on the FL5 by purchasing the DE5 module). - It offers a better sound system, headlight output, taillights, and a generally higher quality interior and exterior (luxury features like heated seats and an upgraded interior stand out). Cons of the DE5 compared to the FL5: - The price is significantly higher for what is essentially the same car, aside from the features mentioned above. - The Type R seats look better, as does the red carpet interior. (For reference, the Type R I could have bought for MSRP ended up being purchased by my friend. I’ve made some videos on it if you check my channel.) However, at 6 feet tall and 180 pounds, I fit better in the Integra Type S seats, and I find the FL5 seats less comfortable. That said, I still prefer the Type R seats for their badass appearance. - The FL5 also has a cooler digital cluster, which reminds me of my S2000's cluster. Overall, if you can stomach the $7,000 premium, go for the DE5. You can’t go wrong with either choice. I also have a comparison of the differences on my channel. For example, small details like trunk lighting: the FL5 has a single halogen light, while the DE5 has two separate LEDs on each side, offering much better illumination.

Did you get the steering wheel surround in CF too? Did you keep all rhe CF trims on or was it too much? Considering CF trim for the shifter console and rhe steerin wheel surrong which are essentially the piano black finishes in the car other than around the infotainment screen. Debating between matte or gloss.

I have installed an Idoing head unit on my 2016 Crostrek but can't get the STD rear view camera to display, . I am talking with Idoing but any help would be appreciated

So, I am guessing the 2019 TRD doesn't have the reverse camera plug behind the head unit, and we won't have a plug for it since the TRD's reverse camera is on the rearview mirror. Great video!
