Wish you well on your operation. It is an important subject to bring up and glad you did. My friend is going through radiation for his prostrate cancer, he is 65 years old. When we were all younger we would not go to a doctor unless parts were falling off of us, but now older we need to get checked more often. Another buddy of mine has limp node cancer in his neck and is getting radiation done as well. Our prayers go out to you.

Thank you for sharing this with us Geoff. It undoubtedly required immense courage to allow your subscribers a glimpse into your life during such a challenging time. Well done on your openness. I know from our personal conversations that you are very positive about this and it comes as a timely reminder to all your subscribers men and women (they have men in their lives) to have that conversation with them and their doctor. As we enter Movember, I encourage your subscribers to prioritize getting tested. As you point out Geoff and to quote RAW Rural Alive and Well, “Conversations Change Lives” and you having this conversation could very well help save someone’s life. Well done.👍 Darrel and Jonathan RtB

I watched your video with interest regarding prostate cancer. I’m 68 and was diagnosed with prostate cancer at 60 , my cancer like yours was still contained within the prostate. I chose HDR Brachytherapy which essentially is hollow needles placed in the prostate then a radioactive isotope is placed directly into the prostate. At the end of the procedure the needles are taken out you go to recovery then go home the same day . The reason I mention this is there are other options rather than surgery. I urge everyone to get a psa blood test done once a year preferably from 50 onwards . If you are diagnosed then do your research as to what treatment you would like which is surgery or radiation. If you don’t feel comfortable with your urologist go and get a second opinion. You have to take charge of your own health.
