Thank you so much for explaining this. I’m needing to build some bed side rails for a headboard and footboard. The headboard and footboard already has pre-drilled holes, for a hidden threaded rod that fastens the entire bed together. Im wanting to follow the same pattern so that once the side rails are on, it doesn’t look like I rigged something up just to make it work. This was so helpful and very informative. 👍🏻👍🏻

Good video. The threads on my Weldtec torch don't allow me to jam the sheath in them like that... Sadly.

I'm at the end of my Welding Technology certification at trade school and Printreading for Welders is the textbook we've been given for the blueprint reading portion. It's tough because we aren't given any lectures or presentations, exercises etc. We are just given the book, a login id for the online tests, and a computer. I just found this video and subscribed. Thank you!!

This is nonsense. Change the title. You could have started the project from scratch in autocad, it would have been even faster. What people want is to import the STL 3D file into solidworks and from there into autocad. STL files from thingverse won't open in autocad.

Hello everyone, aside from this video, would anyone know of a good book that I can purchase to learn how to read blueprints? I’m as rookie as they come. I’ve been searching Amazon and Google but I have not come across someone in the field that can point me towards the right direction. Thank you.

Terrible. She should have done her research before putting this out for world to see. Bad terminology, not even knowing how to use tools or any crucial steps of the process. My 8 year old can do what she did. I really hope she’s not a teacher. Sorry, but for something so common I don’t see how she missed so many marks. FFS

Haha...killin' me. Nothing drives me crazier than when I run into a job, and do not have the tool. I was doing this today, and none of my sockets were big enough. EVERY time that happens, I find a work around to get the job done, and then within a day, buy the right toolk so I never have to work around it again. At 53, after a lifetime of this policy, I RARELY run into a situation where I do not have the tool. But today I did, so I worked around it with a crescent wrench. Which lead me here...just trying to find out size that nut is. ...and you whip out a crescent wrench. As I began...killin' me!

Thank you! I figured their HAD to be a way to do this. It’s such a pain to have to jostle between several parts and writing dimensions in order to build another part that connects to both.
