Empecé estudiar hace dos años y pico, y es la mejor decisión que he tomado, ( ademas de casarme con mi esposa) es bien importante aprender español hoy en día, especialmente por la aumenta de la población de hispanohablantes. Remember, bein African American learning Spanish in the states you're going to encounter the positive and negative. People are going to make negative comments, ask you why are you learning Spanish, rhey don't like us etc. But you are going to make great connections, be able to help people, have more value en job searches, and be able to enjoy the twice the amount of content and media. Just enjoy the process, don't compare yourself to others who have learned longer than you, stay motivated and be consistent ❤

Loved this video sir. One youtuber I found whose method for learning I'm going to try is One Word at a Time. He has some good videos. You could also try learning like with iTalki lessons from teachers, like 10-15 a lesson, better than 100 a lesson from irl teacher

I started Mexican Spanish because I wanted to be able to speak to the most amount of people. Although, other than me picking at least one tutor from Mexico when I start Italki in a week, I haven’t focused that much on what country the media I watch comes from. I watch “How to Spanish Podcast” and they speak Mexican Spanish but I don’t think I specifically started watching them for that reason. 🤔

Not teaching tu form is crazy tbh😭 I think that's where the age of this book might be showing. It was written in the 50s. Maybe back then there was more emphasis on formal forms? No clue. I heard great things, but I'll save this for later if my other language books don't do it for me.
