LOL yeah looking at this vid I am being such a noob, it's almost embarrassing really! Realistically I still think this is a good guide for people who are not confident in dealing with mechs and how they can get in and out easily. There are several quicker ways with less exposure to mechs but this way has good line of sight so that you can see where they are, and it's a good demonstration that even a noob like me can get out alive :D

Not sure on that, I think it still helps but the calculation is done in the background. IE instead of modifying your skill it boosts the camo value used to calc whether you are seen.

Yeah you are right, I was trying to leave room for you guys to experiment for yourselves. For the small one you just use the triangle roof and place it the same as you would for the square one. For the larger one you can just use the square roof panels on the outer ring, they will overlap a little but it looks pretty good. Then on the inner ring you should be able to place the triangle roof panels attached to the top of the outer-ring roof panels, I haven't tried it yet with the latest updates so you might need to experiment with it in single-player. If I remember correctly you will need to have supports under the inner ring to place them. Does that make sense or do you want me to do a quick little update vid to show it? I have found that the round houses look good on the outside, but are a challenge to make functional inside especially if you try to make it multi-storey.

Ah yeah, it has to be fully supported.

It's a great spot, tends to get really busy a few weeks into a season though so can get hard to find anything there I have found. My squad had a base on that lake for a while - same spot as the house in the lake house video.

Yeah it's not the easiest spot to get through.

@@BluDragonGaming building a base is a toughie for me. i can build a foundation block, put a 1 level wall around it and upgrade all that, but cannot figure out how to build a second storey ( ceiling for the ground level - or floor for the 1st floor )

Yeah it is, I'm kind of jealous. This one was from last season so there has been a server wipe since. I might have to make one of these gazebo's myself (and just hope it's not dangerous lol).

Yup it's a PvE server called ZTV, has PvP zones for ppl that want it.

Not sure what you mean by that, the server isn't modded and they didn't use admin privileges/commands to do anything. They do have several squad members with well over 1,000hrs each in Scum so they know their stuff. I assumed you meant that it couldn't be built on a normal server coz you would get shot by other players in the process of trying to build it. If there are specific parts of the build you don't know how to make then please let me know because I have a building tutorial planned and I would love to include anything you want to know in the tutorial - I'm sure you wouldn't be the only one that wants to know (see earlier discussion with Chewy).

Yeah I reckon. Also a lot of teamwork, I believe it's a 15 player squad and all did their part. It was mostly completed within a few days after the server wipe!

You used to be able to put a plan down for the support, then put a plan for a half or low wall, then build them both. That has been "fixed" in the latest patch. Good to see they're concerned about how walls are built instead of vehicles falling through the road or the crap horde system.

You build stick walls then upgrade them to log, it's the first upgrade. You have to upgrade each component individually. To upgrade, hold down 'F' while you have the mouse cursor on it and a menu pops up.

Hey that's awesome, please tell me about it if you are up for it. I'm just sharing my experience and the easiest way I know how. I'm always open to hear about better or different ways do do these things, there are always other ways.

I go in through the gate and not that hole in the fence because I never seem to be able to get past the mech that patrols there. I think I briefly mention this in the vid? I find this way a lot easier and more reliable to get in safely especially solo and without good gear. The idea is to get in and out without the mechs spotting you (giveaway to your position in PvP) at all which is quite possible this way. I guess I found this way in and TBH I haven't really explored going in through the fence coz that mech seems to have it in for me LOL

Welcome to the channel and thanks for the sub! Yeah I have tried a few different ways of getting in there solo, this is the only real way that I have found to get in and out without too much drama. It doesn't always go as smooth as this run, but it's not too hard this way as long as you are patient and time it right. It gets a little more challenging trying to do this with a group :D Keep your eyes open, I have recorded a follow up to this one where I use only the gear that I collected in my first 8hrs after a wipe.

It was a lot of fun, a pretty eventful start to the season 😂
