Definitely prefer going first because being able to set up full combo with Hero is actually really hard for decks to beat but with the board breakers, and the engine being good at going second you should be fine either way!

I think it’s definitely worth considering. I still like ROTA because sometimes you need Vyon specifically. It can also search out Dark Angel when you go first after siding. Both are good tho I see the value in more E-calls

From my experience against yubel, locking them into darks still gave them access to phantom, SP, unchained links, and their yubel monsters. Locking them into lights, they could do Fiendsmith lines to make Desirae, and negate the gozen match, then just keep playing. With rivalry, it’s still worth considering to side against yubel and tenpai because of the dark angel lock. If you draw rivalry and a way to get to dark angel, you lock them into warrior types. Not saying it’s the best or what you should always do but it’s what’s worked for me so far! Thanks for the comment!

@@MysticSheepYGO I appreciate the experience share. It’s interesting: either card will give them ways to play but focuses on Dark Angel. Have you played against ritual beast or memento and have you successfully dealt with them and how?

@@samdeoliveira6272I honestly haven’t played against much of either of those decks so I can’t say much. I do know that ritual beast can call dark with Protos which can be hard to overcome. However there’s no more Apo so I think they struggle against nib post side.

Oh for sure. It's definitely not mandatory to play SP. If you want something to help play against droll or shifter I think Bagooska would be a good choice. If you wanna go for the full hero extra deck, I think absolute zero, a second dark law, or even Trinity would all be good choices.

If your opponent forces you to go first you can assume it's Tenpai. In that match-up, Divine Wind is better than Blast and even Dark Law cause it limits them to one attack per turn. And if you pair that with a DPE and/or Plasma, it can be too much for them to deal with. However, a lot of the time you'd make Blast or even Divine Wind, it's to dodge Imperm or veiler on Stratos, so it doesn't come up too often. I think it's up to preference at that point.

SP can come up if you normal Stratos, add Faris, and get hit with Droll or Shifter on resolution for example. You can make it with Faris by pitching a hero and not using the effect to set Increase. Additionally, if you open Vyon and an extender like Fusion Destiny, you could even normal Vyon, send Malicious, make SP, and end on something like DPE, SP, and Plasma. All of these are really niche scenarios but in theory, could come up more often than just A Hero Lives for Bagooska.

@@MysticSheepYGO You'd need Cross Crusader to try and go for Plasma, and you cant summon SP the turn you try to activate his effects

Dangerous low key makes summoning Plasma easier and gets Mali, Denier or Mist in the graveyard. Or if you play the Dark Kaiju, its a good Super Poly Target for Dangerous, Mudragon or Starving Venom

He should really be a staple in most Hero decks. It’s thanks to him (and Mali being back at 3) that Vyon is a one card combo. Also, making Dangerous from FD dumping Mist and any Destiny Hero helps in cases where it’s a better board making option.
