This video is useless. The filler opening for toner has been moved to the other end of the cartridge, the end with all the gears & is extremely difficult to remove without breaking it.

Doesn't work. The chip is glued in. Plus I typed in how to remove a glued chip and got the same exact video. You didn't show how to get around it like you video implies.

Hard glued chips can also be removed from the original cartridge with the proper tools, just be very careful not to damage it too much. (i did it with a side cutting plier, cutting the bakelite socket around it, it was luckily a bit loose so the glue released, saving me some time sandpapering the bottom of it)

Never buy these, it doesn't work, you will destroy the chip and end up throwing away several new toner cartridges. Just buy the ones with the chip already in them.

Jus have to nip the plastic away from all around the chip, then use a razor to cut under it to remove it, trim the excess plastic off the sides and bottom, and it fits right in the new cartridge slot.

Can you use an O.E.M chip from a Standard cartridge on a High Yield no-chip aftermarket cartridge? Will the printer only recognize the total ink as if it were a Standard cartridge? @@MrEgyPete

Some of the printers (especially HP ones) require the chip's presence, no matter what, it cannot be bypassed.

I had a different model of cartiridge and printer, but this was enough to tell me that the orange cap needed to come off---it wasn't very easy, but I pulled it off :) (Or twisted it off if you prefer)
