I have quite a few: Godzilla vs. Gigan is my least favorite 70's Godzilla film. Yes, worse than Megalon. I agree that Tokyo S.O.S. is overrated. Terror of Mechagodzilla is a little overrated. Some G-fans think it's a masterpiece and I just don't see it. Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla II is not that bad of a movie and G-fans have been too harsh on it since the Kiryu films came out. Godzilla X Megaguirus is a guilty pleasure and I think it works as a stand-alone homage to the campy Showa films. I like Godzilla vs. Biollante's soundtrack. GMK is one of the best films in the entire Daikaiju genre. But the ending kind of sucks.

MV Ghidorah is definitely my favorite one, and the scariest imo. The ONLY reason I can agree with him looking a little weak is how easily Burning Godzilla incinerated his entire body. But, even then, Godzilla was basically invincible in that state while expelling unfathomable doses of ridiculously hot radiation. When you need to become INVINCIBLE just to kill the villain, I'd say the villain is absolutely strong.

1956. So it probably came to America on '57 or '58. This would have been epic back then. I had the American version on VHS along with our family collection of Kaiju movies. Luckily, in rural Tennessee we had a video rental store that had a great selection of these. I also recommend the American version. This movie is great actually. Ok , so something is killing the miners. We see one dead and 3 killed right at the beginning, which is more like a horror film. Dude and his wife are, naturally,scared and worried are the murders, when suddenly the meganuran appears and goes on rampage. Dude helps kill it but is trapped. They find him later, with PTSD and amnesia. You see his memory of seeing the worms and Rodan and how much the shock of it gave him mental problems. I think his acting was great in showing the side effects of PTSD, which was seen a lot after ww2. Anyways, the 2 Rodan's appear and fly fast all over the south Pacific and destroy Tokyo in the best effects of the time. How is any of this boring? The movie is loved because of the details in it. And the ending , of the 2 Rodans, is somehow universal and poignant, there's no need for words. Yes the English narration here sucks, but there's no words in the original during this. It's a great scene and Honda set it perfectly. Watch the English version, the if you like it, watch the original.
