I love this backpack, only downside for me is that it does not hold a water bladder. I do not like to always have to take off my backpack to drink something and the added weight of one and a half litres on one side is uncomfortable while carrying when using the outside pocket. Does someone have experience with McGyvering to use the compression strap to hold a bladder? How was it?

the flap is not wide enough, so dirt and rain get in easy, or you have to keep the rain cover on permanent , a real design booboo.
@ThinkTankPhoto
@ThinkTankPhoto Күн бұрын
Actually, there's an internal zippered flap that seals off the interior, protecting against dirt, water, and prying hands. It also tucks away neatly so it doesn't get in the way when you're working out of the bag.

@@ThinkTankPhoto Thank you so much for your reply. My only worry is the airlines especially the small one in African countries whether that will be fit in the overhead or below the seat. In my Airport accelerator backpack - I fit canon 600 f/4 IS II, either canon 300 2.8 or 70-200 2.8 and 1dx MK II and R3. Always smooth in airports as it is a backpack but with trolley i am confused. The backpack is little heavy on my back with all these gears and while terminal transfer it really getting difficult. So i am slightly undecided. Any comments or suggestion. Last thing, my airport accelerator waste strap buckle has broken so i am not able strape around, is there a way i can get it in India. The bag is 10 years old and still doing a great job. Wow, can’t say well done here. Firstly, no visual of the divider system inside any of these bags with an overhead shot, nor how it was loaded out. Is this a trade secret? Possibly the most important part of a bag and it was just ignored. I shouldn’t have to chase down further pictures of the bag. We are here now seeing it in use. Second, Think Tank isn’t known for their shoulder pads, like Tom Binh is. Third, the bottom waterproof area doesn’t extend up the sides at all. I wouldn’t say this keeps out seepage. This is an overstatement. It’s nice to have something on the bottom though, if it’s not a tripod. I had interest in this nice looking bag, but this video just turned me off. Including your response to one poster of having to go find pictures of the insides. If this is how Think Tank presents their stuff and hopes to sell it, I feel kind of insulted. Very unprofessional. If I was your boss I would tell you to take this video down and redo it. And then send you for training in product presentation.

Hey Mike, You grab the strap at the top of the bag, lift the strap over your head so that the strap sits on your left shoulder, and so that the front of the strap falls down across your front to your right hip, the sling bag on your back - then you can reach across your front with your left hand to the bottom of the bag and spin it around to your front to work out of it.

You'd probably have to strap the tent to the outside of the pack. The regular Airport Advantage is smaller and sized to fit in the overhead bin on a regional jet. The XT is larger and sized for US domestic carry-on. Its also deeper so it will fit two gripped bodies side-by-side whereas the regular Advantage will only fit standard sized bodies.

Can you use the waist strap to access the bag without setting it down like the Backlight series? Also, do you know if this will fit in a Pelican 1510 case?
@ThinkTankPhoto
@ThinkTankPhoto 4 ай бұрын
Hi Karl, yes you could access the bag like the Backlight Series but I would caution that it would put a lot of stress on the gatekeeper buckle that attaches the removable waist belt to the bag. Based on the dimensions, it looks like the Backstory 15 (the biggest one) would fit perfectly in the Pelican 1510. Backstory 15 Exterior Dimensions are: 11” W x 19.8” H x 7.5” D (28 x 50 x 19 cm), Pelican 1510 Internal Dimensions are: 11 in x 19-3/4 in x 7-5/8 in
