The right brought this amendment on themselves by trying to institute that 19th century near-total ban. If they would stop trying to outlaw abortion altogether measures like this wouldn't be necessary. I'm glad it passed.

All you have to do is look at our criminal justice system to see that more and harsher punishments don't work. The woman against this proposition is right - we need to sink money into combating the causes of sex trafficking. Investing in our society just isn't Republican's cup of tea, though...

A lot of President haven't keept it in his pants...A significant, but varying portion of the world's population, has been unfaithful to their partners, although exact numbers are difficult to determine due to cultural differences and the definition of infidelity. In Finland, 36 percent of respondents in a survey admitted to having had an affair. And that is Finland, not Sweden...

I truly do believe AI artificial intelligence should not been released like it has been in the past 4 or 5 years. This should have been done in bite size stages at a time. Not all in one go. When I first found out the code had been released online had been released to the public. I was horrified by this I truthfully hope cyber security experts can keep AI at bay I mean the genuine legit cyber security experts who are there for keeping the internet safe. Haven a safe place, not a destructive place where you disrupt where you destroy computer systems, networks, servers, websites problem is anybody can go on a cyber security course. There is no vetting to see if these people are legit and genuine. Keeping the internet a safe place safety and security for all is paramount

Shyster Montoya better go to a better law school. The Supreme Court in Wong Kim Ark v. U.S. ruled children of parents who are illegal occupants in this country are NOT considered subject to the jurisdiction of the United States. The SCOTUS even cited historical record going back to English Common Law from the 1500’s to document that it’s long been considered neither illegal occupiers nor their offspring are citizens. The Court distinguished between being subject to laws of some jurisdiction or ‘territorial jurisdiction’ which everyone is, as opposed to ‘judicial jurisdiction’. The latter includes all rights, privileges, and obligations of citizenship such as being drafted into the Army, serving on a jury, and voting, none of which apply to illegal aliens. Neither does birthright citizenship.

really hard for this white man to give the facts : the 13th,14th and 15th amendments are called the Reconstruction Amendments 13th- ended slavery 14th- gave birthright citizenship to former slaves 15th-gave due process and equal protection to those former slaves

What President Trump is talking about has NOTHING to do with the dreamers. None of them were born here (if they had been, they would already have been given citizenship). It will only apply to children born in the USA, after January 20, 2025 - to parents that are illegal aliens or holders of temporary (work, student or tourist) visas. Children born here to parents who are citizens or green card holders will be citizens.
@TeranRealtor19 күн бұрын
He CAN do this with an executive action. He simply instructs the government to correctly apply the 14th Amendment - as it was from ratification until sometime in the 1960's. There will be lawsuits and I think it will get to SCOTUS quickly and be settled. The closest case that has gotten to SCOTUS (Wong Kim Ark) held that Wong is a citizen because he was born to parents that were living in the USA with full permission to permanently reside here. They even had a business here. SCOTUS has not yet heard a case about the children of illegals or children of temporary visitors here. - But I think they will agree with President Trump's interpretation of the 14th.

Carter was a good man, and a naive man. In the afterlife he will understand the naivaty that he had toward Israel. The 4 P's The PEOPLE- The Place- The Period- The Plan. God;s people of Israel for a purpose in this time in history.
@thelaurencerh18 күн бұрын
It’s easy to say Carter was 'naive'... but I think he saw things with a kind of optimism that’s rare in politics. Sure, he wasn’t perfect by any means (none of us are), but he genuinely tried for peace in a place where it was in short supply. It’s important to remember that no one really owns anything in this life... not the land, not power, not ideas, not even the future. We're all just passing through. Carter tried to find common ground, which, to me, is far more valuable than any rigid 'plan'. Maybe in the grand scheme of things, the real Purpose is learning to listen, understand, and not be so quick to judge others for their efforts, especially when they’re aiming for peace in such a divided world. Food for thought.

@jonric777 Fair point. But I think there's a key difference in context... Carter wasn’t aiming to appease, but to engage. Again, he made lots of mistakes, as anyone does when they’re navigating complex global tensions. But isn't the real question not whether you always succeed, but whether you're genuinely trying to move the needle towards something better... even if it's just a little? Peace isn't a checkbox to tick... it's a process. Both 'sides' need to grow up and realize that... Time to put the work in and stop sticking to the same useless and petty beliefs/attitudes. After all, as Einstein said, “Insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results.” Idk... Maybe it’s time to try something new, don't you think? 🤔
