Now make it realistic (it falls apart after the first slight incline and once it touches water the engine blows)

Played it for the first time last week. The details and atmosphere are incredible especially for a 1998 game. I wish there was a proper remaster of the game like this demo expanding the viewable world.

Thats the idea of fanart lol. You put some of your own ideas into the original. It shouldn’t be a 1:1 copy just with better lighting

Really amazing to see! I'm currently building a wooden scale model of RMS Queen Mary, could you recommend me any good reference books? I bought on called Anatomy of the ship by Ross Watson but are there any better others? Great work Sir!
@Haraldinowitch Жыл бұрын
Thanks for your feedback I really appreciate it I mostly use reference photos and the google street view tour of the ship. I have also got an original plan of the ship from 1935, but I only used this one for the general structure of the hull and superstructure. For the shell plating and the machinery on deck (steam whinches, fans etc.) I also used the book Anatomy of the ship. This helped me alot. I have got a pdf version of it if you want some better reference images of the hull blueprints for example, so that they aren't deformed and the dimensions are right. What is also nice to have is the damage report, which was made by the current owners of the queen mary in 2020 I think. There are some bookes referenced which may help you: www.longbeach.gov/globalassets/city-manager/media-library/documents/memos-to-the-mayor-tabbed-file-list-folders/2021/queen-mary-inspection-report-update---reissued It is really important to get the hull right. The queen has a really complex hull which I got wrong very often. It is pretty wide, which may looks disproportionate at first glance, but it is necessary for the general dimensions of the ship. otherwise it gets way to high and looks like it could tip over in the water. And for you it isn't that easy to just make a new hull from scratch. I hope I was able to help you. If you want to get in contact for some other informations you can contact me on discord (this is something like skype, if you don't already know). I have got a link to it in the channel information.

You know that wood and white walls Can you add uhm... 😂😂 photorealistic texture, metal white paint, rusted wood, etc😂 Hope it doesn't slow down your pc. You need AMD Radeon RX 7900 XTX, Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 10GB, Good graphics card that can do raytracing.

Yeah ik I didnt even want to do a game actually, just wanted to try some renders from far away so i didnt do textures and made mostly placeholders with the right colour The floor texture isnt even aligned with the orientation with the ship 💀

nope, and it doesn't work anymore since it has seen many versions of stormworks... soo I would have to redo most of the technical elements and the exterior is also outdated but i don't have the time for this at the moment.
