Thanks for the informative video. I've been looking at the pink one with the roasted Maple neck too. Nice information about the pickups. 👍 I've been kicking around the idea of buying this guitar and replacing the tremolo with the Vega trem or just buying the Vega tremolo and replacing my Japanese strat's blocked trem with it. I agree with you about the pickups being a little harsh, for my tastes, but I sure do like that roasted maple neck. 🤔

Fellow lefty btw
@GingerLeftyGuitar28 күн бұрын
The neck really is superb on it. One adjustment I also made on it, but after I shot the video, was I decked the tremolo. It shipped set up to be floating. Now only downwards movement is possible, but tuning is now rock solid. I’ve never had a vega trem, but they do look amazing. I’d put it on the Japanese strat though, that’s just me.

How much does it weigh? I saw another review where theirs was 3.6kg and I've heard of HB stuff be kinda heavy in the past, so curious if there's a lot of variance or if they're all around there!

These being too bright sounds like a good thing for my rig, I am thinking of buying this just for the color. I wonder what is Thomanns return policy like, I’m in the EU but outside Germany.
@GingerLeftyGuitarАй бұрын
Excellent return policy. If you don’t like it then send it back, no quibbles. I think the initial batch sold out though, so there is a wait period until they get them back in stock.
@LefterisTrichakisАй бұрын
I got the white one. My copy stays in tune wonderfully for hours, using the tremolo constantly. The humbacker is very good, the single coils are not inspiring as you say, and are too bright. The neck is extremely good and comfortable for my small hands,. Overall value for money is on the top. I plan to gig with it and replace the single asap.
@GingerLeftyGuitarАй бұрын
I don’t think it can be beaten for value matched with quality. A new benchmark has been set for the budget guitar. Great to hear that your tremolo works so well. Maybe a bit more tweaking will get me there.
@AdventuresfromtheshedofdreamsАй бұрын
Just checked the price on these and to be fair that is a lot of guitar for the money. A few tweaks here and there and it should be nice. Do you think a bit of attention to the nut would help the trem work better?
@GingerLeftyGuitarАй бұрын
The nut seems good to me. It’s my belief that the string tree is the main culprit here, but I might get out my set of nut files at the nut too.
@ryanryan8Ай бұрын
Was this color your preference, or were the options limited when you ordered? I got this one and LPB and I REALLY love this one. The sparkle in the blue is impressive, too.

For a sub 200 quid guitar it really is insane value. Even the plus model with the flamed maple neck is great value. The lake placid blue should be in my hands after christmas once its back in stock. Also 2 colours that fender wouldnt dare give us lefties.

@@GingerLeftyGuitar ye I returned another one a few weeks ago (squier) so was hoping not to have to do it again. Just a shame when the rest of the guitar is so good. And can't just replace them either cos out of stock. I'll have another look at it later and see if I can live with it.

@@plamenpenkov2865 it's a lovely guitar. I've asked to return it but will see what they say, if the paint job was a bit better I wouldn't think twice about keeping it, the neck just makes you want to play. For this price, it’s one of the best options if you want to buy a cheap strat. Especially for lefties (just as me) I’m just curious about the pickups, otherwise it seems perfect. I wanted to buy their modern plus model, but will probably go with this one and swap the pickups. This guitar is so pretty, good job Harley :)

its a beautiful guitar, how's the neck? i usually thingk that harley benton necks are thick, I love my jackson's necks but I'm searching for something cheaper as a practice gear but I want a similar feeling with a neck of a jackson, I know it cannot be exactly the same but in a margin that's not too thick

Where does the DI Box output go? Back into your recording device? DAW? Meaning you have one input from the DI bo into your DAW, and another input from the record out into the DAW?
@GingerLeftyGuitarАй бұрын
Sorry I didn't see your comment. Yes exactly. One has the amp sound baked in and the other is DI so that you can reamp later. Very common studio practice.

I've been top wrapping my Les paul strings for 3 decades. Not only does it give more sustain but much better tuning stability on the unwound strings because you're reducing the break angle drastically. Whoever criticizes this method probably doesn't know much about Les Pauls

Billy Gibbons has been top-wrapping his Les Paul since the 60s. None of the people with negative comments could hold a candle to a guitar player of his caliber. Good job man.
