Even after changing the nut to a graphtech and installing locking tuners with a wilkinson tremolo, i can confirm that when you use the whammy bar it goes out of tune. Also if bend the strings it goes out of tune.

Very nice but possibly a bit too kind or diplomatic towards retailers and manufacturers. It would be nice to mention that beginners do not need a guitar shaped like that to learn and that at least in the UK a beginner could buy a second hand Squier, vox valvetronix amp, korg pitchblack tuner and new set of strings and still get some change from the price this Firebird is selling new. Some comment about depreciation and the financial sense of upgrading this would also be welcome. Maybe not too much fun, but beginners and the poor souls that often finance their whims would thank you.

The pitch shifter alone is worth more than the price. You can actually dial it as a harmonizer quite nicely. And, the effects are really quiet even when using an overdrive/distortion , etc. without getting squeel feedback. Obviously people have already told you about the battery compartment. Thanks for the demo review. I agree, it's not practical for changing effects in a live situation, The fact that it doesn't click when you make changes is a bummer.

I bought this exact same model about 2 years ago and could not believe how good the neck was and how great this guitar played at this price point. Picked up a second one (JS300), which had already been modded with a set of Rails (same neck, plays great). So I went out and bought the JT300 after that because it's got the same neck and it's got a top loaded bridge (which I like). Now I kinda thought that I would probably want to mod the original Strat and I bought a set of Toneriders (HSS) and then I finally fixed the only real criticism that I have about the guitars that I've bought so far and that was the quality of the tuners, which I replaced with a set of Gotoh Locking tuners. I love these guitars they're great straight out of the box, but because the bones are good, they are fantastic mod platforms too

I love the statement. Yes, we buy new guitars because we have phycolgical problems...So I am interested in this guitar for solo performances. I currently use an acoustic guitar with a pickup. I loop and solo a good amount so I think this might be a good fit. I haven't seen many people try to achieve an acoustic sound like you did. What are your thoughts?? Thanks

A transitioned angled neck union would have been nice and would cost hardly anything, personally with this S type I prefer the flat colour as you don't get flat horns, also the butterfly string trees have no place on a guitar of this calibre, I have found spraying the underside of them with PTFE makes a great difference, its only worth doing if you already have the spray though as it is more cost effective to replace them for roller trees or Graphtech ones, or if you prefer the look of the butterfly then buy the spray! When I bought my Fusion T 25th the YT review models had great flame on them also, I suspected mine would not be as good as the review units, It is better, absolutely outrageous flaming! What tuning were you using?

Sounds really good! 1) Which audio interface do you use? And do you set your input gain knob on interface to zero or just before it clips? 2) Are you using any pre-eq in DAW like high pass, before the signal hits the amp plugin? Thanks!
@SoulStringChannel
@SoulStringChannel 16 күн бұрын
Hey buddy! Thanks for the comment! Yeah man I really enjoyed this plugin and it's funny I didn't really know what to expect but it was a pleasant surprise! Re your questions 1)for this one I'm just going straight into the IK MULTIMEDIA AXE I/O One. So nothing too fancy! The gain know on the interface was just set before the signal clipped. 2) no pre eq just straight into the interface. Let me know if you need any further info! Cheers buddy really appreciate it!

I rally dig all the new software available with all those different pedals and amp choices. I have both a Boss Katana GO*(Discontinued, but the Katana AIR EX is awesome) and a Blackstar ID CORE V4 practice amp. Both of which come with free software that have quite a few different choices of amps and pedal sounds to choose from. With both of these I can play and Record to my DAW. Really nice options out there. Ahhh, technology is awesome huh?

I would prefer a bigger block on the bridge. And thinner neck.
@SoulStringChannel
@SoulStringChannel 17 күн бұрын
Yeah gotta say the block on the bridge kinda surprised me but I didn't really hear any downsides to the trem. It also felt really good! On the neck I guess it's just a preference, this size was good for me but I get your point. Cheers for the comment!

Great review thanks!!!! I have TC59 love it, I'm traditionally a Gibson SG player but play this for hours, and strangely like bridge pickup split to single coil but lots of gain on the amp, it sings!!!! I have also drilled lots of holes in the back (terrible I know) to make it lighter it still looks and plays great.

Thanks for review, but still Im deciding if I should get this Harley Benton or Schecter NICK JOHNSTON TRADITIONAL HSS, so it is a tough choice. But still, I do not know, if Schecter can afford better playing experience than the Harley Benton HSS.
