I wasnt able to visit Sankanan until summer of 2018 then recently I came back after two years with my friends and so much has changed in the place. It isn't my hometown and physically considered as a dayo whenever I go there but welcomed like a family friend, people are so warm. I can say that its pretty nostalgic just realizing there was only mud road before when you passed by the cemetery. Fortunately, its concrete now including the road to 'our' zone!

Nice Video showing this modern mall exactly as I remember it. I spent many hours in this mall. Since the tragic incident of December 23 2017 we must remember the 30 + victims who perished in the fire especially Mikko Salazar Demafeliz who was family. Please say a prayer for each of the victims and pray that this never happens again.

NOTE: The good news is there is now a highway being built close to the shoreline, and the mess that was here is now cleaned up or in the process of being cleaned up.
