This is such a fascinating insight into the manufacturing process! I just got my first Akubra and it’s been love at first wear. Definitely understand now why these marvellous hats have the reputation for being some of the best hats in the world for quality, comfort, and value.

I'm in the United States. Two of my go-to hats are Akubras. The Cattleman and the Stylemaster. These are excellent hats that have a wonderful quality/price ratio. Akubras are a great investment. I suggest adding a stampede string to prevent the wind from stealing it.

I just received My angler hat 7-1-21 . So far It's the very best hat I've ever bought ( and the most expensive not that I've bought all that many hats ) . I said all that , to say this ... if You want to keep a Family business to remain just that , You must find a willing Aire . If You can't and or don't Your business will suffer ( quality & reputation ) . If You sell it chances are quite good , the quality of the product will suffer . That means Your Customers will seek other Companies to fill Their needs .

It appears that the frames per second are not real time or to slow. I believe 30 FPS is real time on an NTSC = usa system, PAL would be 25 FPS in the EU as stated by others below. Also, if they are IP cams then you will experience some latency or (LAG) in the video because each video frame must be encoded by the the IP camera before it is sent to the recorder, then must be decoded to be viewed or recorded, this is not the case in analog-HD systems. This is prob what your issue is, a bandwidth / lag issue where some frames may be dropped. Just a good guess.

Looks like the increased resolution took away from the frames per second or recording. The picture looks better, but the smoothness reduced. Thanks for sharing this video

Looks like your frame rate could be set low , Should be 30fps in the US. and 25 fps pal in the UK ...

Thanks for that. The options for setting frame rate are different depending on what I set the resolution at. But the choices are 15fps or full-frame and both are extremely jittery. When I had customer support on the phone we tried all possible combinations and none were good. Basically, the higher the resolution setting, the more jittery the footage. Also, the person that was helping me had a SWANN tech look at the footage that I'd posted and he said that was "normal." Which is odd because the footage clips they show on their website is NOT jittery because it's NOT taken with SWANN system.

I agree Dan, With a high quality system like yours I would expect a lot better , Im looking to upgrade my system and was looking at Swan cctv nvr and ip camera`s but if this is what they consider to be acceptable , I`ll have to look else where ... Good luck sorting it out ....

No, I returned that piece of shit to Costco. SWANN makes the worst systems in the world and their customer service is non-existent.

The 3mp cameras are also used with an NVR, which is also part of the higher price you paid for the system. This also lends to the higher recording quality. DVR's recording using analog, vs this which is digital recording all the way end-to-end. I'd take this over the blurry results with the legacy DVR/analog recording systems. I suspect the help-technicians you spoke with aren''t quite familiar with the nuances of the these newer Network VIdeo Recorders (NVR) systems, as they've always been aimed at supporting the legacy DVR (analog recording) systems. Try looking at the lower quality still frames of your typical gas-station robbery surveillance images, and see the difference.

What a bunch of crap!!! How long have you worked for SWANN??? If this is what to expect when you buy SWANN security systems then why don't they explain this on their website? Why do they (instead) show PERFECT footage and insinuate that it was footage taken with their cams when it was not. They actually show footage on their website and insinuate that it was shot with their security cams when the actual footage was taken with an HD camcorder. WHY? And are you serious?? +Dan MacNeil I don't work for SWANN, and I don't work in that line of business. I'd only been curious about the feedback on the SWANN 3mp NVR system. Do you recall if there was a setting for recording quality, and if there was a difference if your setting was attempting to record a high frame-rate for all channels simultaneously. I'm curious if the frame-rate was better when limited to just one channel. I know DVR's (comparatively) vary on their overall FPS when speaking in a collective-sense across all channels.

TVI, CVI & other systems are HD over standard coax with no lag, no network dependency, and HD 1080P, 2mp, 5mp @ 30 frames per second fluid real time all day long with up to 300 ft runs of standard cable. IP systems have known bottlenecks that they should have told the customer about when he called with issues.

I'm not an expert, but I think you're seeing all key-frames vs what you're used to seeing with lossy-video (periodic key frames + interpolated frames) quality you'd typically see with DVR's. If you notice when you pause the video, each freeze frame is extremely sharp and useable to identify someone. If you do stop-motion with lossy-video, you're not seeing high-quality frames. My understanding of video-enforceability in U.S. Courts, is that individual interpolated frames (last key frame + updated pixels since the last key frame) are not enforceable / admissible. I wouldn't complain about this as though you'd be comparing this to trying to watch a TV-show. Just my two cents.

I did NOT buy this system because some findings were "substantiated" in U.S. Courts. I bought it so that I could see footage that was like the footage that SWANN posts on their website as examples of HD video. Turns out there is NO SUCH THING. The SWANN website is bait & switch, filled with fake video footage. So you pay twice as much for a system and get blurry shaky jittery video that is NOT explained or represented anywhere on the SWANN website. They (SWANN) are liars and what they state is completely untrue. My son bought a system made by LOREX that is every bit as good as my SWANN (if not better) and it cost less than half of what I paid.

15 FPS (Feet Per Second) is not real time. 30 FPS is. Check your settings

Thanks for that. There is only one option in settings. That option says "15FPS". So it really doesn't matter what the "real time" is or anything else as I cannot change any FPS settings. Also, on 2 different occasions I was on the phone with their tech people. One call was 45 minutes. During the call they had me try every possible setting and every combination of settings. And in order to make things as clear as possible I posted this video on KZbin for them to see. And they told me "This is normal and what I SHOULD EXPECT with this $1500.00 High Def. system.

After reporting the event to the sheriff I took a drive around the neighborhood and less than 10 blocks away I SAW THE TRUCK! I called the cops and they drove to the house and the guy was wanted on an existing felony arrest warrant, the truck was loaded with stolen goods including a generator, And THE TRUCK WAS STOLEN! So they towed away the truck and took him to jail.

+CLS550 Sorry for not posting that. The NVR is NVR16-7095 and the cameras are 3MP but I don't know the model numbers. I've done Google search for more details about that model number but there is very little about it as it's a Costco exclusive. But it is the same as any of Swann's 7000 series NVR's.

UNBELIEVABLE! I bought this Camera Security System from SWANN. I already had a system but it was only a $300.00 system and I wanted to get an HD 1080p system with 3MP cameras. Turns out that the video is so shaky that is EXTREMELY annoying. I've emailed them (SWANN) 4 or 5 times and spent well over an hour on 2 separate occasions with them going through settings and resetting every thing. And I finally posted this video for them to actually see my footage. Well their "tech department" viewed the video and said the video was completely normal and that was the best I could expect. The system costs $1499.00. BTW, this video was a copy of the cams that was set at a lower resolution (720p). I am going to post another video of what you can expect using the HD at 1080P. It'ws quite a bit worse.

My family and i stayed here for a week,we loved loved it.the owners were awesome.they had a 4th of july parade a huge BBQ for all at the park.boating,fishing,hiking,swimming,plus lots lots more to do.Would highly recommend x 10. we have all ready planed a trip.SEE YOU IN OCTOBER
