There’s a lot more customers that will agree to bi monthly cleans, than will agree to six weekly, or monthly, these days, & most of the ones who agree to monthly & six weekly will probably start skipping cleans or messing you about, until you finally do them all bi-monthly, it comes around quick! Window cleaning on a domestic house is now considered by most customers, as a luxury that you can always cut back on, to save money, I’m not an expert, I’m just giving my opinion, from doing it for over 38yrs

Very interesting. I currently offer monthly and bi monthly and think it would be a bit of a headache to move everyone now. I also copied Pryors way of pricing when it came to adding on for extensions or conservatory etc.

@@yourcleanerwindows6969 For sure mate, you’d have to think of the process to convert your customers over effectively with the time / resources you have Just offering an idea, you could take a sample of clients that are already paying a rate you’re happy with - and say your thinking of moving onto a 6 weekly plan at the price and ask them how they feel about it? You wouldn’t have to commit to anything then, it’s just as a test

Great video. Never thought about using bleach for the upvc cleaning. Do you not find that you have to agitate the plastic with a water fed pole and brush? Glad to hear someone talking about this. From the outset apI have offered 4 or 8 weekly cleans. A while back I realised that what I really want is to make my average value per job, to be as high as possible. My average 4 weekly price was £15 or £180 per year. But if I can get the customer to go for 8 weekly, I can charge 50% more per job but do half as many cleans making it more affordable for the customer over the year. My 8 week average is now £22.50 or £135 per year. The only downside is that I need more jobs to fill my schedule. I’m up north so maybe lower priced than other areas but I’m happy with what I get. I started this year implementing a minimum charge of £20 for 4 weekly and £30 for 8 weekly. Thanks for the video, you got any books or anything you’d recommend that have helped you with the business side of things? 👍

Sounds good PB, I would also consider that your average customer may be with you for longer than 1 year which increases your customer life time value Look into subscription businesses as this is what we’re offering in window cleaning There are people teaching the math and method behind that too Regards reading, read everything Read, maths, physics, science, philosophy, business I only started to ready more widely the last year or so, and start from the beginning at a child’s level. All the information is basically connected, hope this helps

My analogy is there is a proven recipe to make a nice victoria sponge. If I cut corners, supplement ingredients or don’t use ingredients in correct amounts, the outcome will be different for the worse. There is a proven recipe for a successful window cleaning and exterior cleaning business. Just stick to the recipe and don’t change it. Hardly anyone sticks to the recipe

Spot on mate, at one point I was thinking of pull away from window cleaning because of my time taking up on it. But the extra work it does generate for my pressure washing, roof cleans, render cleaning and more I would be mad. @herosoftwash23 күн бұрын
Seo is a tricky thing for a video, there’s a lot of people on KZbin that can talk about this a lot better than I could A bit hurdle I used to have was writing Get into the habit of it, and start throwing context onto your website as a test And keep in mind with seo it’s a slow game, the inputs don’t have immediate effect

What LPM can you expect from a 3/4 inch hose compared to a standard garden hose ? Say the garden hose products 12LPM what’s the “norm” ? appreciate a large amount of factors play a part but what’s the average percentage increase in your opinion ?
@herosoftwashАй бұрын

@@herosoftwash oh wow that’s quick! I know all of the suppliers sell them so it must work sort of thing, surely there’s a MAX LPM the tap can feed tho ? If the tap hardly works then a 3/4 inch would be of little benefit surely ? @@jamesdavies2060 not all suppliers sell them - some sell with 3/4” fittings but the shaft in the middle is 1/2” which restricts the hose again I learnt this from a chap on KZbin to Qwashers - Reference cost, for those on a budget don’t do this, spend the money on education or more marketing.
