I watched your video because of the title that you selected...'Learn from me if you want to Quit your Job to start a pressure wash business.' The entire video was you rambling on about Window Cleaning and you quitting your job.. No a single shred of info about pressure washing Waste of my time and same for others who also took the click-bait. That said, I do wish you well and pressure washing is an awesome business. Hi enjoy your videos always have points of interest. I don’t understand the rational here though, as other commentator said you have to greatly increase customer numbers to match 4/8 week revenue. So unless you are struggling to sign people up for 4/8 week why go 6/12? Especially when you factor in cost of customer acquisition. You are better with less customers paying more surely? Also don’t get the Netflix comparison either; why not compare it to a meal out or trip to the cinema similarly irrelevant to a window clean service. Finally that £25 figure I presume is an average and so even more irrelevant to a Netflix comparison. I am early on my journey in this business so maybe I have missed the point? Happy to be educated!😊

So I asked AI to do the sums and this is the outcome. How many more customers would you need between each frequency to get the same amount of money and which ones best? You're absolutely right! To make up the revenue difference with the 6-week or 12-week cycle, you would indeed need to increase your customer base. Let's break it down clearly with that in mind: Current Model (4 and 8-week cycle): 225 customers on the 4-week cycle = £43,875 annually 75 customers on the 8-week cycle = £7,875 annually Total Revenue: £51,750 annually To Match the £51,750 Revenue with 6-week and 12-week Cycles: We need to find how many additional customers would be required to make up the £17,545 difference, and whether you’d need to expand your customer base to make that work. If you go with the 6-week cycle: Revenue per customer: £130.05 annually To make up £17,545, you'd need 136 additional customers on the 6-week cycle. So, if you are currently working with 300 customers, you'd need 136 more customers, bringing the total to 436 customers on the 6-week cycle. If you go with the 12-week cycle: Revenue per customer: £64.95 annually To make up £17,545, you'd need 271 additional customers on the 12-week cycle. This means you’d need 271 more customers, bringing your total to 571 customers on the 12-week cycle. --- Conclusion: To make up the £17,545 revenue difference: With the 6-week cycle, you need 436 customers (a total of 136 new customers). With the 12-week cycle, you need 571 customers (a total of 271 new customers). Which is best? The 6-week cycle still makes the most sense because you need fewer additional customers (136 vs 271) to match the revenue. But yes, you would have to increase your customer base significantly for either option to work effectively. The 6-week cycle is more efficient, requiring fewer customers for the same revenue target, but both options require growing your customer base.

So to make up the difference you would need to be charging more money on your 6 or 12-weeky

@uniteallactionАй бұрын
"Honestly, I just stumbled across your channel and this video, and I have to say it feels overly long and unnecessary. Some window cleaners stick to a four-week schedule for consistent cash flow. Personally, I offer both four- and eight-week options, but the eight-week service costs 50% more-for example, if a typical four-week clean is £15, then an eight-week clean would be £22.50. The comparison with Netflix seems irrelevant here. When I started, I based my pricing on the cost of a haircut, which should be a minimum benchmark. Most barbers now charge around £20, so that should be the minimum for a four-week clean in 2024, with £30 for an eight-week clean. It’s not about making things easier for customers-they’ll sign up regardless. Offering too many options can be overwhelming; it’s best to stick to a simple choice of either every four or eight weeks. Everyone views Priory Window Cleaning through rose-tinted glasses. Yes, they’ve done extremely well, but consider the area they serve-London. There’s a significant difference between that demographic and a place like Birmingham. I work in one of the areas in Northern Ireland with the lowest income per capita, and honestly, it doesn’t make much difference-people sign up because they don’t want to clean the windows themselves. They’re willing to pay us to handle it for them; essentially, they’re buying their own time."

I was horrified at my mate who installs paving at his advertising costs. His problem is he installs paving and never sees them again. I've said to him that he needs to have a six monthly maintenance program for them. I think this is the difference between seeing customers every week or month for window cleaning to cleaning the exterior once a year or less.

Blah blah blah. Any business you start is going to be a lot of work and you're probably going to be putting in 14 to 16 hour work days getting it off the ground. Starting a business is not a 9:00 to 5:00 and think that you're going to be able to make buttloads of money. It's going to be a lot of hard work and you're going to have to do a lot of hustling and acquire skills that you currently don't have. You have to be able to pivot and adapt. I bet if I followed you around like a fly on the wall I would realize that you have several things you're probably not doing to make yourself successful. You don't need to invest a ton of money to get started in this. But you are going to have to invest a lot of time which is your most valuable asset. Marketing and customer acquisition is going to be your hardest thing no matter what business you do. Get out there and hustle. If you have the drive you can make it work. I've had three businesses and this will be the fourth. You can do it but I won't be easy.

It's my understanding as a newly VAT-registered business in the UK, you can reclaim VAT on goods purchased up to four years before your registration date, provided certain conditions are met: 1).Goods must be for business use: The items should have been acquired for business purposes and still be in your possession at the time of registration. 2.) Goods must be on hand: You must still have the goods or they must have been used to create other goods that you still hold. 3.)
