What do you think you'll do about the windshield wipers? Think you'll try finding some thinner ones, or perhaps OEM blades instead? I've been thinking of getting one of these cars myself, and so I'm curious about how big an issue the wipers would be.

I just was able to buy thinner ones. I think someone installed those and never opened the hood up

That car didn't fall because the board broke. You guys are kind of idiots and lucky no one got hurt. You got a car halfway down a ramp and you jack up the back Wheels which is the only thing holding the car from rolling down the precarious situation you have. Then you jacked it up on a rolling jack none the less and away she went. Unreal.

I’ve owned a 1984 and 1986 Chevy Caprice. Both low mileage cream puffs. Both had 5.0 V8’s with a carburetor. Why it took GM to so long to gain fuel injection (1989) is beyond me. Ford I believe 1983 was when fuel injection became available. I also owned a 1996 Caprice. So needless to say I’ve been a GM guy most of my life. However lately, I purchased a 1997 Ford Crown Victoria with 46,000 miles. Eventually I want an older “boxy style”. Some will say the panthers were better built with better quality and more reliable than the b body cars from GM. I’m from upstate New York so our cars see salt too but I keep my babies in a garage. Nice to see a young guy like myself enjoying these old boats and keeping them original.

Is there a way to get more height out of the forks? I’ve seen custom builds that have much more ground clearance.
@Socket-Media3 ай бұрын
The only way to make the bike taller is by getting longer fork tubes and springs. Stiffer springs just make it stiffer and sit as high as the current fork tube allows (which would be full droop of a stock system) so really the answer is no, at most an inch or so
@tacroom123 ай бұрын
@@Socket-Media I’ve been doing a lot of research. Surprisingly there is not a big market for parts anymore. Not even OEM. I did find that crv/xr 80 forks will mount right up and increase the travel a decent amount. Swingarms are hard to find too. If you come across or know of a longer swingarm for sale I’d be more than happy to buy it.

This is pure comedy. Lol Not one thing was done right here. 2 years of engineering school would do wonders for you. flipping the rear axle upside down will destroy it in about 30 min. You had everything you needed. If you had ran your belt off the mower clutch down to a shaft that ran to the back, supported by the 2 pillow blocks, then back up the the axle with another belt, all your problems of rotation would disappear. If you had thought that cheesy belt arrangement through, you would have seen that it was reversing the rotation. Could have saved a lot of time and money. It did make for a really funny video though. Very painful to watch you destroy a nice little mower.
@Socket-Media4 ай бұрын
That is a good idea. It is all trial and error for me. I started the project when i was 14. Just trying a bunch of ideas. I could care less how destroyed the rear end gets, just wanted to see what happens. Im happy you could enjoy it. I would like to see you try and do it though. I have a couple other of these honda ht’s so i can keep destroying them

Well, I'm very picky about any tutorial videos and I must say you by far had the most watchable, and informative video out of well, hundreds really. So, from my picky opinion keep up the great work and don't stop making videos cause you've really gotta knack for it.👍

I had a craftsman 42 inch deck hydro mower with a 18hp Kohler pro single on it and it finally bit the dust, I looked around for over a week and found a Massey Ferguson 2518 lawn tractor, I think this is a Simplicity 2690472 - 2518 clone. It has the 18hp vangaurd twin briggs engine, the 38 inch deck is fabricated and built well, everything is just better made than the old one I had. I paid a few hundred dollars more for this unit compared to a used craftsman but I feel like it was well worth it.

What do you line up on the crankshaft to the lines on engine, and the cam sprocket has 4 F and T marks, do you line up at T or F for setting the timing correctly? Thanks
@Socket-Media5 ай бұрын
If my memory recalls you can use any of them. But im not 100% sure. This was 3 years ago i did it
@khanhho84715 ай бұрын
I lined up the T at crankshaft and the T at the cam sprocket, but it did not fire, it did not work. So today, I lined up T at crankshaft and F at the cam sprocket, it fired and started right away, but now as I engaged the PTO clutch, then the engine would stall right away, every time and this is me siting on the seat. I wonder if you know what causes it and how to fix the issue. Thanks

I don't understand how flipping the rear axle on the axis that you did could possibly make it spin the other direction (forwards instead of backwards)

Point your finger out towards a wall and spin it right. Keep spinning it and point it at yourself. It flips
