Inspired Tom Green which revolutionized comedy and birthed a whole generation of MTV then KZbin pranksters. Wonder who influenced letterman to do these.

OMG I'm crying... I had this 3rd Anniversary Special on beta video tape, and I wore that thing out watching it. Too funny!! Vince McMahon and Bob Costas were on that anniversary show, too.

Remember when you were a kid & you & your friends would make prank calls? Now imagine that friend has his own TV show. And it's not just prank calls, it's going out and pranking the public. And you're in on the joke. That was Letterman in the 80s.

blacktopaz8 what alot of people dont know is that dave used to drink alot. So when he was making us laugh our asses off in the 80s & 90s by just being strange & hilarious he was a little hammered. After the heart attack & maybe a few years before he stopped & thats when he changed. But he will always be the king of late nite to me.

I liked Adam's DJ Stripper impersonation on Loveline when Anderson kept playing "Girls girls girls" by Motley Crue. There's a good one of that I recently found in the Loveline tapes. Go to August 18th, 2003 at 32:30 into the show. You'll laugh. I might upload it if no one else can find it. Classic Carolla.

Top ten reasons Robin Givens gave for leaving Mike Tyson: #8: Got inexplicably sulky after she called him a maniac on national television. #3: Tired of watching the Cosby Show and having him as "which one are you?"

I was a high school senior on November 29, 1989 in rural eastern North Carolina. I wouldn't become elgible to vote for presidential until the next election in 1992. But, did you know: 44th Vice President Senator JAMES Danforth "Dan" Quayle (b. 1947) shares a FEBRUARY 4th birthday with comedian David Brenner (b. 1936), whose "Hurricane Motherhumper" in an HBO special last decade proves he's still got it. I think it's the special where Brenner got married live, on stage at the end

How's this for classic David Letterman: The Top 10 list for November 29, 1988 was: "Top 10 Fears of Snuggle the Fabric Softener Bear". At #6: " Excess softener will leave him unable to perform as a male" At #3: "Something might happen to George Bush". Of course, at the time INDIANA Senator JAMES Danforth "Dan" Quayle was Vice-President-elect against howls from political opponents that he was too inexperienced to be "a heartbeat away" form the presidency. Quayle became 44th VP on Jan. 20, 1989
