Question, I received my kit but the springs don't have the logo mark as I see in this video minute 0.43... all the sprongs should be with the Andreanis Logo isn't????? Should I need to call the Beemershop and ask them ??
@AndreaniUSA3 ай бұрын
Good morning Enrique. Your kit is one of the oldest one we do and it uses a unique series of springs, that's why they are not marked. Your rate is 58. In other Misano Evo cartridges we got a huge variety of spring rates, so that's why they are marked. Your cartridge is one of those where we use just that configuration of length and internal ID, so it does't need the spec on it.

I'm lighter rider - about 82kg + gear. Can I use 1309 oil at compression cartridge for "lighter" feel? What do you think about this change?

@AndreaniUSA4 ай бұрын
@@booger1717 So, with 82Kg + gear you're in the average weight class of riders. Depending on the bike model you would get what we consider or call a standard rate spring for your weight. And this is to get your sag numbers right. After that using the hydraulic adjustments you can reach the feeling you want. But after all the tests we've done in Europe and USA in the past years, we find the 1330 to have the best performance overall with this model of cartridge. There's 1cst. of difference between the 1309 and the 1330. You wouldn't feel the difference to be honest but your suspension would as the 1330 would last longer on high exercise temperature.

What is offset?
@AndreaniUSA5 ай бұрын
The Offset in this case is the ratio between the internal and external pressure that the machine reads. Depending on elevation the external pressure of the ambient you're in changes. This affects the internal pressure of the tanks during vacuum. That's why it's important to set it correctly.

Hello! I have Andreani Misano Evo kit installed in my KTM Duke 390. Oil level is set up as per Andreani recommendation on the box (90mm air gap). The spring rates are selected for my weight and the resulting sags seem ok. The fork gives me just half of possible travel. A much heavier guy then me tried to push it down on hard braking with no significant change. Could this travel limitation be due to an oil lock? Do you adjust oil lock on 390 Duke when installing this kit? Thanks in advance.
@AndreaniUSA5 ай бұрын
Hi Anna, actually your fork is an upside-down fork, so you won't have the oil lock in your inner tube legs like in the video. Did you do the level of 90mm without springs or with? It should be done without springs inside. From how you describe it, I feel like you might have made the level with the spring inside the forks? SO having too much oil inside. But on the other side consider that the fork fully bottomed should arrive at 25mm from the axle clamp. If you want just reach out to us via phone or email so we can get you rolling asap. [email protected] or (828)435-0125. You can speak with David in the suspension Lab.

@@AndreaniUSA Thank you very much for response! I had the kit installed by a professional suspension shop. So don't know for sure how they did it (I hope all right 🙃). When I picked up the bike, they told me to keep the number for further fork services. I should get back to them to have it sorted, anyway.

What is about top out spring in misano evo and fork sag calculation? Does it affect it?
@AndreaniUSA5 ай бұрын
The majority of the Andreani Misano EVO fork cartridge kits use a standard top out spring that has been determined to offer a comfortable ride and a performance gain over the OEM suspension. We have determined our design to match the needs of a street bike and light track use. Top Out springs rarely influence "Rider sag", They are primarily used to control the chassis at the top of the stroke. All OEM motorcycle models and brand will have different top out springs or NO top out springs This is mainly due to the cost and vendor supplying the suspension to the motorcycle manufacture. Because all makes, models and years of motorcycles have different top out springs (or none), the comparison and will vary. Regarding the Andreani USA fork kits, its best to explain the variables with the OEM versions. -A top out spring that is long and a higher rate will typically have more "static sag" -No top out springs will have less "static sag" then ours. -Short or light rate top out springs will have little "static sag" -Top out springs really do not have an influence on "RIDER SAG". Hope this helps... there is a lot of info here and I just wanted to summarize a few things. NOTE: TOPPED OUT - motorcycle lifted, wheels FULLY extended, not touching ground STATIC SAG - The difference between Topped out and resting on its on weight. (NO Rider) RIDER SAG - The difference between Topped out and a riders weight on the bike.

Actually there are several dealers of ours, (suspension shops), that do sell and install them too. Normal mechanics won't as it requires some suspension knowledge to install any cartridge kit but ours are not different from other brands when it comes to installation. ON our website www.andreaniusa.com -> About -> Dealers you can filter service centers.
@joek819816 ай бұрын
@AndreaniUSA Well, ACTUALLY-actually, the shop I called -- the one that exists within 500 miles, said no, we only do mountain bikes. Your own shops are cutting ties with ya. And on top of that, if I did want to try it, or have my local guy try it.... the tools aren't available. They're on sale!!! But just not in stock. If it's truly needed to do the job and indeed proprietary, it should be in the box. Not free, but in the box. So you can, ya know, do the job...?
@AndreaniUSA6 ай бұрын
@@joek81981 In the search filter you can select MTB or Motorcycle (dealers and/or service centers), you probably overlooked that. The tools are not a MUST but just a way to get the install done easier. We decided to have the tools available that are making the installation easier to final customers. Those can be purchased also individually. The bundle is not available at the moment cause we miss one of the 3 tools that will be in stock soon again. (We sincerely apologize for that) We do also recommend to have a suspension shop installing any cartridges (not just ours) as they have the knowledge, training and tools required to perform the installation. Of course you're free to install those also on your own as per manual. If you need help installing your cartridge you can contact us in the workshop and we can either install it for you or help you through the installation process. Ride Safe.

Why do you suggest sitting vs. standing? Do you ever calculate the stiction zone? The different angle for taking the shock measurement is interesting. I'll try and compare that method next time.
@AndreaniUSA6 ай бұрын
Both measures are valid whether you stand or sit on the bike, but if you stand, you should assume the position you usually have on the bike, with more weight towards the back. Some people make this calculation while standing completely straight, which is not how you would actually stand on the bike while riding. If you stand correctly, you can find a measure that is pretty close. However, for practical measurements, sitting on the bike is more precise. The stiction zone can vary due to many factors such as spring preload, and whether the bushings are old or new for example. When you measure the SAG on the bike, we assume it's the first time you ride a new bike or a used one, after a service/tuning, so all friction elements should be lubricated and in very good shape to determine the correct SAG without needing to account for the stiction zone. I would say that, just like with our different angle measurements, others may have a different philosophy and include the stiction zone as well.

If it says "Cartridge Kit" (105 / K41E, if you're asking), that's including springs too? Also - and I'm not complaining here - but why is it only $600?
@AndreaniUSA8 ай бұрын
Yes it’s including springs too. Andreani produces the 20mm piston cartridges since almost 20 years. The product evolved through the years with new features and better materials. But the reason why the price cap is not as high as many would expect is because of the modular system that Andreani built around it. We reduced as much as possible the waste of materials and can keep in that way a good production cost and that reflects also the final customer price.

Yes, unfortunately, not all bike forks are the same, so the instructions are different and of course getting in a set for each bike is almost very hard. Especially for older bikes. Keep in mind we got over 500 applications through the years, so not an easy task, but will work on something similar soon.

Hi,does it matter in which fork i install the compression and rebound cartridge? Instructions don't say anything about left/right fork importance
@AndreaniUSA11 ай бұрын
@TheCvac, Actually it does not. But with aftermarket cartridges it also depends on how your forks are built. Sometimes you're obliged to have the cartridge in a certain position but in that case it's written in the manual. That said if your manual doesn't say, you can put them in which ever position you prefer. However the motorcycle industry standard is, Compression cartridge on the left and rebound cartridge on the right.

Thank you for purchasing an Andreani Misano fork kit for your Multistrada. We honestly suggest that a professional works on your suspension if you've never done it before. All of our fork kits do come with a basic installation manual and we are here to offer advice. Regarding the Multistrada (there are different years, and kits to fit the different bikes). There is no cartridge holding tool needed for this bike. The base bolt needs to be threaded in and torqued to the spec for each model. I can feel the compression adjuster working on the slow side compression wise. Is there anything I can do for the high side? I also seem to have lost 1 inch of travel compared to the stock forks.
