To think this was an early SEGA Genesis game that made great use of psuedo-3D effects, almost like Toy Story did later on, being a strong contender in the game of graphics.

If a monster can transform into a stronger form because of Determination or a human soul, it stands to reason that a human soul is actually providing monsters with Determination while also granting enough power outright to keep a monster together. Raw Determination without a human soul is a death sentence because a monster soul isn’t capable of fully channeling Determination. There MUST be a human soul to produce it and control it.
