@ cheers I’m feeling it’ll be a 3 -1 spurs win (sorry) we usually dominate the lower sides at home and control the games but without VDV and possibly Romero I wouldn’t be surprised if it was closer. If Dragusin plays and Ipswich get their pressing right it could be a tricky game but I also trust our quality in attack to give us a cushion n case of any calamities at the back. Good luck for the game and the season ahead. Really enjoy that Ipswich are in the Prem and are definitely going about things the right way.

Out of interest what would you have done differently?

@ I understand that managers can’t be perfect but we couldn’t afford to have the amount of mistakes listed below: In my humble opinion our tactical shape away from home doesn’t match our limitations around possession and restricts the areas in which we can hurt teams I.e counter attacks, direct play or even set pieces (although opportunities for these have sadly been poor for promoted team looking to stay up). I think we should have dropped the 10 away from home or even looked to play a back 5 and reduced attempts at possession play (which is statistically bad anyway). Square pegs in round holes such as O'Shea RB. Hutchinson was clearly struggling centrally from game 1, which has also hindered Chaplin and Szmodics (a potential high scorer who was on form) adaptation/progress to the level. We have two natural players for each position behind the Striker but a reluctance to play these players in their natural positions has also limited Broadhead and arguably Clark's playtime.

Clarke wouldn’t be eligible until the summer due to the three club rule and unlikely Spurs spend big on a striker in January having just signed Solanke for £60 million?

All just noise. We won't be selling anyone so soon, unless an absolutely ridiculous offer comes in, even then we're likely to keep them as we'll need them going forward.

True but the difference is that there was no VAR last season so decisions like that will happen and are put down to the referee, whereas this season VAR applies and we are told that it was there to make decision making better.
