I have no idea. I survived one of the explosions eventually too. Weird.

I may be wrong, but I think it’s because the body is using the physics engine like the rest of the game. There is no preset animation for (most) deaths.

@@foraday7708 I get that. But since the game saved at that particular spot, and he didn't touch his controller, the next few seconds shouldve played out the same every time he loaded in. The only thing I can think of is that there is some randomization. For instance, maybe every time an explosion initiates, the engine rolls some dice to determine the blast radius/damage.

@@sergiv5613oh, I didn’t think of it that way. You’re probably right, since it rolls dice on other things (bullets hitting target). But the whole engine is basically a physics simulation which I would think is just as subject to chaos theory as our real world. Maybe a bit of both.

how do you enjoy starting ALLL over from scratch after dying to a weak enemy etc.? id be pissed id rather be able to make saves and comeback later kinda dumb honestly

@@jakobtudder2631 its not scratch its last time you slept. For me it just stops me quicksaving every 10 seconds. It also makes building settlements more important as there is no quick travel and you need to eat sleep and drink regularly. Its how i like to play but i get it's not for everyone. Everyone should play it how they like tbh. But for me its survival mode or nothing 😁
