What happens if I run the game at higher than 60fps?

Depends on the game. Gen 1/2 MH won't let you play at 60 FPS, even with patches. Even if you find one, it always breaks something. From 3U onwards, you can run at 60 FPS without affecting anything related to s-they remain the same. I’ve actually included both 30 and 60 FPS timings in the video. All in all, framerate will never change your s.

That's actually a very good question! "Ancestral Dragon" is a hidden track on Volume 2 Disc 1, included *inside* of Track 30. It's not listed on vgmdb, MusicBrainz or any other database. Originally, Track 30 (Song of Beginning, JP title 始まりの唄) is a 7:02 track. The actual Song of Beginning plays for around 3:55, then you get silence for some seconds and then Ancestral Dragon starts. This is a cool little easter egg, probably because of the "secret" nature of Black Dragons back then. Capcom did something similar with the Alatreon Theme in the MH3tri soundtrack, but they actually included it as a track this time. CPCA-10208 Track 24 is an untitled bonus track - that's the Alatreon battle theme :) Also, if you want the first official "Ancestral Dragon" release as a standalone track by Capcom, you can find it in CPCA-10195. It's Track 20. The one you hear in this video is the one included in CPCA-10144. I just separated it from Track 30 and uploaded it separately. I don't think there's any difference, though...

I curate soundtrack selections for sharing on a forum, and the Monster Hunter franchise has been especially difficult to cite for whenever I've tried featuring from it, so clarifications such as this are extremely helpful!

More than likely just used the same sample pack. There's other tracks on Dos's soundtrack that share samples with music that's in other games. Like Heroes of Might and Magic 4 ~ The Mountain Song ~ OST and Monster Hunter 2 (dos) OST - Drunken Thoughts At Midnight (Guild Hall 3)

trying to do the usual EWGF out of fukuteki, i just get the normal WGF, and in training mode i realized that the 2 has to be input 1 frame after the df in order to get the electric. It honestly screws with my timing quite a bit even as someone who can electric extremely consistently. Im impressed you can do it so consistently.
