Great question, Athena. In my example, I am NOT including the cost of ads ... but, I usually assume that if I'm RAISING my price, my AD costs may be a bit higher, and my CVR may be down. Lowering prices, I assume that ads will perform overall, because of an expected improvement in the CTR and the CVR ... all which create a flywheel effect on organic positioning.

Hi sir, I have created a shipment AGL from China to AWD (LCL). They asked me to upload commercial invoice and packing list files , they have attached templates of this files, but I'm not sure how to fill them , if u can please to assist with some questions I have: 1.What should I choose in " Incoterms " FOB,EXW or DDP? 2. Notify Party (Destination Agent) 3. Ship to/ Ultimate Consignee 4. Importer/Consignee I want to avoid mistakes, that's why I'm asking, thank u in advnace.

@E-BusinessOnline 4 күн бұрын
Hey, you should def open a case with support to make sure this is correct, but in my experience: 1 - this depends on the arrangement you had with your supplier. FOB means the price you paid assumes that the goods are paid and transferred to the boat. EXW means you paid for the goods as they "exited the warehouse" - you are resonsible to get the items to the port, etc., and "DDP" is "delivery duty paid" - meaning, the fee you've paid to the freight forwarder should be all-inclusive all the way to the final destination, including customs and duties. 2 - the notify party is typically your customs agent/freight forwarder, who will submit your documents for customs/import clearance. 3 - Ship To/Ultimate Consignee is where this will be delivered and received. You as the owner/seller of the goods are usually the consignee, but the address may be the AWD address. 4 - You are the importer/consignee, so this is like #3 above, except #3 was specific to where the goods were being delivered/Landed. Hope this helps and thanks for subscribing!

Good info, I just subscribed. I'm curious if you've seen what we're experiencing... we have a product that we ship in single-sku, full case quantities, and we'd been shipping 4 or more cases to FBA to always qualify for Amazon Optimized Shipment Splits. Two weeks ago, they changed something so that we can no longer do that. We are only allowed to ship to 1 location regardless of how many cases we send (we've tried quantities from 4 to 100, and everything in between) along with the fees which results in roughly 4x shipping costs. (Note that our Inbound settings are selected for "Amazon-optimized shipment splits:"... not that it does anything). The product sells very well... roughly 4-5K units/mo. Amazon's Restock Inventory page is recommending we replenish with 20 cases right now (case =100 units), so it's not a demand/overstock issue. I was also looking at AWD as a workaround, but our product has an expiration date, so that won't work.

Hey thanks for the question. If you're shipping from a USA address, you have a couple of options. #1 - you can ship directly to FBA .. will likely have to either pay IPF's or get the optimized split shipment, lots has changed since this video when we were hoping NemoShip was the answer. #2 - you can do domestic pallets into AWD, as long as you do 1 LTL per 30 days (I'm hearing now that it's changing to 1 per 60 days) you qualify for the same discounted, integrated AWD rates as if you do the AGL global. Then, set AWD to replenish to FBA

Thanks for this tip. I just encountered this issue recently wherein I cannot use the the optimized split (only the partial and minimal were available). This shipment was only a single sku and sells pretty well. I did some trial & error, I tried 8, 9 or 10 cartons (which was the max number of cartons Amazon would allow), I still couldn't get the optimized split. I contacted support but they just copy/paste a script from their guidelines that are very vague with no specific guidance. I had no choice but to pay for the partial split. I don't know what else I could've done since this was s single sku shipment.

@@jamieparos3413 Jamie! DOH - and I was joking about how I was going to be the one who officially created the IPF acronym in my videos. That's what I get for responding before coffee! Thanks for clarifying. So - I just chose TODAY to abort the AGL on this one and I'm shipping w/ my normal freight forwarder in China to Deliverr (Flexport) instead. As a result, I will incur IPFs whenI choose to ship into FBA (*if* I choose to ship into FBA). I was hoping that the NemoShip and other software platforms would still be working, but that's a no-go for now. Most likely, I will drip this inventory from Flexport's Reserve Storage into AWD INSTEAD of going to FBA. Then, I can avoid the placement fees, as well as low inventory level fees. I think the amazon partner carrier rates to get a few pallets from the Fontana, CA reserve storage warehouse (Deliverr/Flexport) into AWD on west coast will be cheap, and possibly, considerably cheaper than IPFs, or paying freight on 5+ shipments. I have to do at least one LTL into AWD per 30 days to qualify for the integrated rates at AWD, though. Either way - it's just gonna cost more. I was GOING to do AGL to AWD and test AWD all-the-way, but AGL still hasn't reviewed my Importer profile ... been stuck in review for over a week.

@@E-BusinessOnline As an Amazon seller, our initial out of pocket cost is the product cost ($10) and the total prep cost ($2). After a sales of $22, it will generate a ROI of 83% on our money. However, when you include Amazon fees and fulfillment cost totaling $7, it will bring the ROI to 21%, which is the ROI on the product. This is what I mean by the ROI on the product vs the ROI on the money. I would agree the ROI on the product is a most importance. The ROI on your money is very nice to look at afterwards.

Hey Fred, great video! Wanted to share that we are using Nineyard and they created a new system to get around abandoned shipments called adaptive shipping. It is complex, but they create all shipments in the “plan” from Amazon, which in our case been 4-6 shipments per “plan”. It then allows us to simply send one SKU per shipment via UPS ground, then make one of the created shipments our main freight shipment where we actually send the majority of inventory. This means we are not deleting or abandoning shipments, and incurring no penalties. This looks to be a fix, but may not be permanent or sustainable for some sellers. (Think: we don’t want to send oversize units through UPS ground) We are sending small quantities of our smallest products and paying minimal UPS ground fees to make sure all shipments are populated with at least 1 SKU. Sorry for the book of a comment, but it is complex!
