I have a fold 4 for 2 years The big screen doesnt open anymore because of too much dust and little sand particles.im often in woods and nature so with my (soon) new fold 6 im gonna buy a full protector inclusif a hinge cover so no sand can enter the hinge. Besides that problem i was super satisfied with my fold 4 (for 2 years) and im excited to get the fold 6 soon. Also i will take my fold 4 to the warrenty so it will be fixed luckely. 🎉

I guess it was weak seals on it. My Z fold 2 is not IP rated, the back glass is peeling. Yet it got a couple drops of water from rain and still works fine.

This is my testimony and when it comes to foldables even though Samsung has the best software in the market. I've had bad experiences with their foldables especially when I had their z fold 4 you should be getting a foldable phone without compromises because I bought that foldable and The day I picked up my mother from LAX, I decided to shoot some pictures of planes that were slowly moving as a taxied brittle Park and unload passengers for my cameras to completely wipe out and break. And it was an internal problem and you're getting a goddamn $1,000 plus phone that really isn't going to perform properly. That is stupid and the fact that on the new model they only added a 1 mm difference on the cover display. You've got people hating Google 's pixel fold so hard that it's been a hell of a roller coaster. As soon as I walked into my local Best buy and I played with the pixel 9 pro fold, I realized how fun foldables could be again cuz you get an 8-in display a regular size cover display in the front that is actually useful when you are in places where the inner display cannot be accessed. Samsung devices have really lost their touch in the hardware now we have to see what the Galaxy z fold 6 special edition brings to the table and if that's the phone that's going to give them the percentage they lost in the market and put them back. Not only as the King and pioneer of foldables, but also keep them as King of the mountain with their best software and we shall see how their new hardware competes in the markets where it's releasing to try up the ground they have lost to the Chinese phone manufacturer's

To me, one of the main problem of the fold is that it is still too fragile for me as I’m a little too reckless with my phones.

I have noticed many weird things with this foldable phone, like the case of the fold will peel if you used unsupported chargers? And if it heat so hard on the sun that it may cause some lag? And now rain can destroy it (ToT) I really liked it and I'm saving and maybe 2 months and I'll buy it but until now I'm seeing weird problems with it I need to investigate more

I mean the necessity of the tech just isn’t there anymore. To do what one needs to do they have a choice of Smart phone Smart tablet Smart watch They make tablet / laptop hybrids that are freakin amazing, They have stuff that fit in your pocket, and for most men now a days we carry a small side bag for electronics n stuff. So that’s an option now as well. The phone is cool. But I agree with the first commenter who said the screen is a little “too gimmicky” 10 years ago I would have said this was amazing and everyone should have one. Now a days like I explained, there are just so many better or equivalent choices than to deal with the downsides of a foldable phone.

Honestly, it lasted longer than apple intended so props for that I guess. I don't see much use for that large of a screen on a phone. It's just gimmicky.
