@ik0nino19 күн бұрын
You don't have to play competitive. If you just want to play MKW online, use Wiimmfi/CTGP and queue normally.
What track is this at 4:08? (Thanks for the guide btw)

The title is misleading since you aren’t showing every l single shortcut in the game but atleast make the title to tell them on what to learn. And if it’s too difficult just use people’s clips. We had this talk before. And I am not by any means bashing you at all. I am just giving you advice on what to do next time.
@ExTremeRainbowKing2 ай бұрын
Amazing vid bro! Can you tell me how you got such crisp graphics? Makes me envy cause I play MKW on a 4k TV on my Wii and it hurts my eyes
@loocas37382 ай бұрын
Thanks! All the clips with the input display were recorded using auto tt recorder which allows you to record in pretty good quality. The remaining clips I recorded with an elgato hd60s capture card, and I just watched a video to make my obs settings as good as possible (at the expense of very large files), there are plenty of tutorials like that on KZbin. I also rendered the video in 4k. If you have any other questions feel free to reach out.
@ExTremeRainbowKing2 ай бұрын
@@loocas3738 Thank you for answering! So if I understand it right, you did record this on an actual Wii? If not, which PC do you have? :)
@loocas37382 ай бұрын
@ExTremeRainbowKing the auto tt recorder records runs using the ghost data. It's done on PC but the type of PC doesn't affect the quality of the recording, you just need the software. The animations you see mostly at the intro of each track are also recorded on PC using a website called noclip.website and dragging the .szs file of each custom track into the website. The remaining clips were recorded on my Wii using my capture card

Pretty damn good video. I wanted to ask why you didn’t show the shroomless bowser’s termination station shortcut where the tree is?
@loocas37382 ай бұрын
Do you mean the large gap cut but shroomless? It is intended to be done with a shroom (which is shown). While possible shroomless, it is very difficult (especially on flame runner) to where its not seen online at all or done in time trials. Shortcuts like that which have no competitive use I did not include in the video even if they were cool to show off, as I don't want to mislead anyone into thinking they need to learn those. It is also a lot of extra work for me to perform all these really difficult cuts.

How do you have BK Moai Mountain may I ask? I checked my ctgp for updates and I don’t have it.
@loocas37383 ай бұрын
There are 5 tracks in this video (Area 64, BK Moai Mountain, Inferni Umbra, Sandy Clocktower, Wicked Woods) which are being added in the upcoming ctgp update. CTGP allows you to play any track that has been publicly released using the my stuff folder. You can download the .szs file of any track from the custom Mario Kart wiki, and place the file in your my stuff folder that's in your SD card. The file must have the same name as one of the files used for the regular tracks, so essentially this downloaded track will replace the regular track. When on ctgp, go to the settings and turn on my stuff. Then if you go to the regular track you replaced, you can play the custom track you downloaded. There's probably tutorials out there for it if you're interested.

This is the best Mario Kart Wii video of *all time* in my book. If not for the sheer 4 hours of footage, but for the info tidbits, the comprehensive difficulty/value scale, having the wherewithal to acknowledge each and every creator, the stunning transitions, and the curated music choices to fit the unique atmosphere of every track. Outstanding job Lucas, your effort here certainly does not go unnoticed.

I‘m astonished due to the quality of the video, I appreciate how much effort went into producing this. The editing is on point, which makes it a brilliant showcase of just how much this game has to offer! I realize how long the recording alone must‘ve taken; I wanted to make a similar compilation a while ago for MK8D, which has far fewer strats and tracks, and it took a significant amount of time for that already. And that completely pales in comparison to this video :D Amazing work
