This was recorded in 1981 at Pepperment Recording in Youngstown Ohio. The strings were overdubbed after the direct to two track trio recording of piano, bass and drums. At the time of this recording we (The Tony LaVorgna Jazz Piano Trio) were performing a eighteen month six night a week run at the Hyatt Regency in downtown Cleveland Ohio. We eventually got canned because we played too much jazz but we made a lot of money at a time that we all needed it. Also...I remember the other musicians as being Val Kent on Drums and Mitchell Cutlipp on bass. THANX FOR POSTING1111

I have all 5 of his records and each one has its charm but he departs from the others on this one and gets lost in an imaginary world, as good as anything Paul Paige recorded!

Wow, I’m sure you own the book Enjoy The Experience, but if you don’t, it’s well worth tracking a copy down. I was just looking through it yesterday and saw this album, and here it is popping up in my feed! This is way more interesting than I would have guessed. I was expecting an Elvis impersonation. This is cool, weird, and kind of dark. I dig it!

Some of this album is more standard Elvis impersonator stuff. But some of the good stuff approaches something more akin to Stud Cole or similar. Definitely worth seeking out. Think I remember his other album being a pass, though.
