Sick man. Was gonna pick up one of these 2 a few weeks ago. Decided against the mt-09 sp because I’m too short for it. I’m 5’6 and weigh 120 so I’m short and skinny. I mean won’t stop me from riding one but just didn’t want to get a bike so big for me. Was hard to even put my feet on the ground. So really was gonna go for the 25 636. Went to a few dealers to check some out and ended up at a Ducati dealer that had a new one and a new mt-07 which I was considering as a bike to have fun and play around on. Maybe stunt it out idk but once I walked into the dealer for some reason outta all the bikes I stopped at this 2018 959 and I didn’t even have intentions on a Ducati but when I seen this one and the dealer told me the info on it and the price I just left with it. I mean more bike then the 636 was priced a nice amount less and is immaculate condition with 2k on the dash a bunch of costly and nice mods that I would’ve done regardless and 1 owner which was an older women according to the dealer. She got it there new had it for a bit never really used it and traded it in for a smaller bike since it wasn’t for her. I love it man. Only thing I’m not to happy about it is the exhaust sound. That low Ducati rumble. It’s nice but I prefer that nice loud screaming sound.

I started on a piece of shit chinese made 70 cc bike. Used it for few years. Then finally got the money and bought a brand new Ninja 650. Now I am buying a new ZX-6R. The appreciation I have for my new bike is out of this world bcuz I know the struggle.

Any update? Im about to the the 3 day course and plan on getting a 2024 zx6r! Any advice other than learn throttle control lol 😆 so excited.

My first bike is a 2006 gsxr 600. I never rode a motorcycle until I got it was a wedding gift. I have been riding 2 years now. Most important thing is get you some leather riding suit. Then, set the bike up for your comfort.

Learners should start with 300/400 cc understand the dynamics of riding. Ride safe and try not to crash coz thats what will get we bikers a bad name !

4 cylinders will always sound good with or without an expensive exhaust.

Wear earplugs or risk nerve damage. If your ears ring there's been damage.

It is nice. Always like the Ninja green.

Great choice, nice color, and im not going to tell you what not to do bro, but i will just lend some friendly advice, NEVER, push yourself past your EXPERIENCE level, get use to your bike, your feelings etc, extend yourself rationally, and dont be one of them dummies that FOLLOWS the crowd just because, or to prove a point, these bikes are like the ocean, very enjoyable and exciting, go beyond your limit and you may find you cant swim as well as you thought...........enjoy yourself and know your limitations.

Nothing wrong with starting with a 636. The only problem with starting with a nice new bike is that everyone drops their first bike while either moving it around, forgetting the kick stand, or many other noob ways. I started on 1000cc old bike. Dropped it and didn’t care.

I don't think it too big for a first bike. I would just say to ppl be respectful and don't be an asshole and you'll be fine. One thing I would gripe about. Why would you get a bike so new for a newbie.

I own both. Mt09 is slower but from a dig the mt would be faster to 60 mph then lose.

Tip - if you want to improve your riding choose a route outside of the city you know well of say 10 miles with plenty of different bends. Put some time into riding the route until you understand the bends better (the braking point, camber, elevation, quality of the road etc). Eventually you will find the bends easier to ride and you'll be able to increase your speed, adjust your braking and maybe adjust your riding style. I had one, my mate had a totally different one. And lower your gear selector an inch or two so you don't have to lift your foot as high to change gear 👍
