No problem, happy to assist. We visited in early May, and the weather in Milan was pleasant-not too cold, though we still wore a jacket in the evenings. At Lake Como, it was very windy, but with the sun out, it didn’t feel too chilly. It was nice to enjoy the day in a t-shirt or shirt, but it’s a good idea to bring a jacket for windy or cloudy days.

As an auditor who has relocated from India, where the normal workday was at least 12 hours, I find the situation in the UK much improved. Here, we typically work 35 hours a week, with only a few days in the year requiring extended hours to meet deadlines, and even then, the hours are not excessively long.

Erm, I don’t get bank holiday, any festive times off. I work like a slave most days and I don’t get sick pay. He mentioned a normal job , I’ve lived here my whole life and his life sounds better

Having a good work life balance is an important cultural thing. It allows you to participate more in local culture. But as another commenter said, luckily he is not trapped in hospitality or customer service which are tougher in every country.
