I have that ATI grip on both my Taurus 85 and Taurus 605. I'm getting this grip also for my Taurus Judge too. I really like them. I don't like the finger grooves.

I sold it after beating on it like the $400 beater it was. got $800 for it with no heat, trunk bolted shut, and no rear floors. had several cars and trucks since then. now I've got a 91 Chevy Caprice wagon. with a Jasper rebuilt engine, rebuilt transmission a year prior, new catalytic converter, new muffler, paid $700 cash for it.

and at least your door actually shuts straight lol, the 2000 stang i had was sticking out about an inch at the lower hinge, and ruined 2 latches, i highly suggest fixing the sag if thats a problem before it gets to that point. upper hinge is easiest to replace but it didnt solve my issue. half the reason i sold was cosmetics and got into a front end collision that trashed the hood and bumper as well. sorry for spamming your post i do talk a lot when it comes to cars.

Actually just sold the cougar this morning. Got an offer I couldn't refuse. So now I'm on the hunt for a small truck or SUV.

Well damn. Lol. Trying to sell the bird as well. If i went north it would prolly go quicker cause minimal rust. They aren't even biting at 1000 cash running and driving 125k miles, like im gonna start a charity and give away or some shit.

Really good, the ranger is 99% rust free, has heat, and the inside is in great shape. Need to replace the hood and grill to be perfect but it's a major upgrade.

i remember this from thunderbird forums, i think my account was "thunderchicken" when you first posted your buy in august. i have primered top grey and bottom black a starsky and hutch type deal so i feel where you are coming from on that part, no fucks given. trying to sell mine because a family member has a low miles ford escape they don't need. will lose my left nut after i sell her. BAD ASS cars 5.0l is indestructible lol. as for 3.8, i can vouch for them too had a mustang 3.8, different design and more stock HP, but these cougar/tbirds always got the short end of the stick on power. all i had to worry about was intake gaskets and waterpump, sold at 182k+ miles. outskirtscustoms

nice man. you can do to ur own car what ever the hell you want, dont listen to what other people say. modding is ur own interpretation
@electricwave10110 жыл бұрын
JDM Style is about the japanese culture within the vehicle. I guess your interpretation is kinda distorted. Sticker-bombing isn't JDM and originated from USDM. JDM is about japanese parts etc.
@outskirtscustoms10 жыл бұрын
That is one meaning, and yes that is the context I am using it. It also can mean "Japanese Domestic Market" referring to the vehicles typically available in Japan, I.E. Honda, Toyota, Subaru... Sticker bombing is much more common on JDM cars. I am building my car as kind of a spoof on the fact that Japan uses US made Dodge vans for "Dajiban racing" so I'm building a "JDM style" drift car from a US made car. So I guess "Drift style" would be a more apt description. Also I am far from done on this car, Just getting started as a matter of fact. I have plans to eventually do a 2JZ swap. In the end I want it to be a "Joke / sleeper" I want people to think it is a slow "Riced out" American beater. Also many people assume the Cougar is FWD, It's not the Cougar is rear wheel drive and came factory with limited slip differentials. Perfect for getting sideways with very few mods.
@electricwave10110 жыл бұрын
That is what JDM stands for. If you had mentioned that it was going to be a drift car then that's more understandable. Since, you want a JDM look about the car you many want to go about the use of camber, stretched tyres and rims of your choice. Also use chalkblack paint on your hood and you won't believe how much respect you get at meets etc.
@electricwave10110 жыл бұрын
Sorry the bit about the 2JZ didn't show up. Personally, I think that idea is awesome. That would be so cool to see a swap like that. If you are going for the sleeper look then that's great. As i said i never saw this part. Would love to the see further updates.
@outskirtscustoms10 жыл бұрын
Yeah right now I'm still saving money to do mods. I will make another video soon as more mods are completed, since this was taken I have sticker bombed the sides just between the lower and upper body lines, added a tach, few toggle switches above the radio, stickerbombed the rear view mirror, and I'm planning a lot more. I am going to mask off the sticker bombed areas and paint the rest flat black, then I will plasti dip the wheels, emblems, and some trims with neon green, add an aluminum wing to the back, hood pins, 2JZ engine and corresponding transmission, single or dual turbos, inter cooler, Thunderbird front end swap (I like the shape of the lights and bumper better.) and whatever else I decide on between now and the time I finish it.
@outskirtscustoms10 жыл бұрын
I do want to lower it slightly but I'm not doing the stretched tire and camber look because Indiana roads would tear it apart. I am even questioning myself about lowering it due to many large pot holes around my area.

I agree with you. It breaks my heart to see a once beautiful car left outside to rot away. I see these yards and woods with tons of classic cars just sitting there rusting away and the occasional trees growing through the engine bay. We lose more classics every time Hollywood makes a movie where it involves a classic. The end result is usually a totaled classic. Some of you will say it was a piece of crap anyway, but they went through the process of fixing it up just to destroy it.

@Begbucks It adds a lot to the restoration cost though, many times as it is you never get your money back out of a restoration anyway. For me it's a labor of love but I like to keep it on the cheap as much as I can. Normally to restore a car you'll spend twice what the finished product is worth and every part you have to have made costs Thank god for reproduction parts but even that drives the resale down. real original parts are where it's at but hard to find.
@outskirtscustoms13 жыл бұрын
@Begbucks Maybe so but those nuts and bolts are getting harder and harder to find because people don't want to take care of them and let them rot even when someone offers twice what it's worth.
