I have the 1st gen Dominar 400 which is about 8 years old now and done around 45,000 kms without touching a single bolt from the engine. I punctually do the general service and chain maintenance myself at home with the best oils in town: Motul 300 V2 during early years, LiquiMoly Street Race later on and MotoRex PowerSynth now. In all these years, the bike had been serviced at the workshop just thrice: two of that are the early free services (skipped the rest) and the other pretty major one at 27,000 km for changing the fork oil seals, front brake O ring, and chain sprocket. I ride sedately in the city but out on the highways it's literally a carnage. I keep the throttle pinned all time trying to keep the bike at its top speed. As far as additions go, there's a BMC performance filter, Der Racing Quick Throttle, X-flash Hazard, Bridgestone Battalax BT023 190 section fat rear tyre, and Diavel body kit from Autologue. I'm currently in the process of installing a full system exhaust along with a re-flash from MotoTunes to further boost the performance.

I own a duke 390 (2019) have done couple mods like 15mm raisers, AOM himalayan 411's handlebar. When I'm riding on straight roads i feel the bike is tilting a little left. Riding without hands (i know you aren't supposed to leave your hands off the handlebar but if the handlebar is pulling towards one side that means rider should also give counter pressure to bring it back but is tiring physically and mentally on long tours) On lower speeds 10 to 30kmph the handlebar always tends to turn left and right on good speeds like 60 80 kmph. What could be the issue here?? I've checked and replaced coneset couple of times, got fork alignment checked. Ppl at Banashankari workshop even tried new set of wheels from a different duke 390 but the bike still behaves the same. Let me know what I can check for to identify this issue

I had a similar experience on my Adv 250. Even I thought I had the perfect setup with the Fuelx, BMC and Red Rooster for good 1.5 years. Initially removed the Red Rooster Exhaust because the bike felt a tad bit slower at higher speeds. Post the removal of the exhaust, the bike felt much more lively between 90-120 kmph, which was ideally the speeds I would carry. And recently removed the Fuelx as well, and to my surprise the bike felt much better to ride without the Fuelx. I still gave it sometime so that the bike would settle down with the current tune, but even now it feels better to ride just with the BMC filter. Also, another issue I used to face with Fuelx was the bike would take a lot of time to warm up, which post the removal of Fuelx has reduced considerably. I initially felt that my Fuelx had some issues, so didn't bother worrying about it unnecessarily. In my experience, just an aftermarket air filter from a reputed brand(BMC/K&N) should do the job, in case someone is looking for improved responsiveness and slight performance gain.

Hey bro, I finally booked the KTM 390 Adventure X since I was looking for something under 4L. The new 390 Adventure is expected to go beyond 5L, which is out of my budget. After comparing a few ADV options, I decided on the 390 ADV X at 3.7L. I was using a BS3 RC 390 and wanted a bike that could handle touring, city rides, and light off-roading. Plus, I’ve heard the new LC4C engine has some issues, and the older 375cc is considered the best. Do you think I made the right choice? I’ve done extensive research, but I’d still like your opinion. Hope I won’t regret this decision. Since the new one is over 5L, I didn’t even consider it. Looking forward to your thoughts.

Hi Aj few questions from a fellow ADV owner 14k KMs done - Compared to the Himalayns do you think the back breaks are quite a bit soft or is it the Metzeler tyres? - The headlights, they vibrate and in the city it looks like I am dip-dimming the cars and bikes in front of me Apart from that I love the bike
@ajmotovlogs917 күн бұрын
Hello. yes the brakes are not the best. the Himalayan has a bigger disk for the front and rear hence the better bite. you might wanna try the full sintered brake pads from Ktm, they should make it feel better. On some bikes there is slight bit of vibration to the headlight unit, unfortunately there is not fix to it.
