Hey Matt, I ended up getting a Coleman peak 1 one person tent and did a quick review on KZbin. I’ll post the link here because I didn’t see a lot other than yours out there. you have the two person I believe. Still liking your tent? I’m looking to using my one person this coming spring and yeah, it’s a bit smaller, but that’s what I’m looking at for backpacking. I also have a l Kelty Late start one person and then a Marmot catalyst 2person and a Eureka mountain pass 3+ season tent two person.

I bought a pair of Columbia Sportswear boots almost identical to these a few months ago. The main thing I plan on using them for though is wearing them in the factory I work at here in Michigan. I should know within about two months at the most how these boots will hold up since the job is very hard on boots and most of the boots I wear at work don't last that long. Surprisingly the most durable boots I've found so far are "tactical" boots. The factory I work in is all concrete floor, so the bottoms of the boots wear out and get smoothed off fast walking on that night after night, and they also get wet on the top a lot so that really wears out the top part of the boots as well. I think you said you bought your boots at Cabela's. I haven't been to one of their stores in a long time and never looked at boots there so I'll have to check on their selection sometime this winter.
@mattstreamadventuresАй бұрын
@@rrg6754 I hope they last you awhile, keep me updated back here in the comments if you will. I’ve found not all Columbia sportswear boots to be bad (more than likely a byproduct of mass production and catering to the markets). Like you though, I totally agree on tactical boots being some of the most durable. I was given a pair of Bates Tactical boots when I worked corrections, since then they’ve lasted me in a garage and a factory. And they are still going strong! Thanks for the comment and view!

Does this pack make a squeaking sound for you?
@mattstreamadventures2 ай бұрын
@@bilaltahir9978 so, one time hiking I have heard a very light squeak but I didn’t have the pack loaded much and most of my weight was down near the bottom of the frame. I have heard people talk about this pack having a squeak. However, the rest of the times I’ve used it I never heard a squeak.

How is the pack holding up long term? Do you still like it and are there any annoyances with it?
@mattstreamadventures2 ай бұрын
@@bilaltahir9978 The packs holding up great long term. It’s still my favorite pack out of all 5 hiking packs I own. It doesn’t seem to stain, and it makes 25lbs of weight feel like less than 5. The only annoyance I have are the design of the cup holders, while they make it easy to grab a water bottle out of the side… I don’t like that fact that they don’t hold fishing poles or tent poles as well as a traditional backpack cup holder. It’s such a specific thing though that it shouldn’t be held against the pack.

I dont know about these, but if you want great Columbia hiking boots, check the ESCAPE THRIVE ENDURE. Best comfortable grippy ones you can get, I love them. Not even the Adidas Terrex Free Hiker can touch them. I made about 150km with them, still look great after half a year of brutal abuse :) on all terrain.

So firstly good job on video, second this tent has been a literal life saver for me out on my motorcycle. I’ve always kept this tent, a small tarp, and a larger tarp to cover me and the bike in multiple torrential rain storms over the years! Good to see others using this tent! I have camped off trail in the winter in another one I keep in my day pack in the winter. Not very good in freezing conditions I woke up frozen literally my breath overnight froze and started to build up on the inside! Thank god I had a great sleeping bag

It got stuck because there is dirt and stuff stuck in there from leaving the reel sitting in there for years lmaoo I pulled a Daiwa off my dads rod and it was stuck just like that manhandle it and it comes off
@mattstreamadventures7 ай бұрын
@@DentSideDee71 Sorry for the late response. That particular rod had very little use, and unfortunately was not my first bad experience with Okuma. I had two of these. The reels stripped out catching specked sea trout. One M power and one MH power. That, coupled with the lack of sensitivity meant i replaced them with different combos. Your review pretty much mirrors mine. For a fast action rod, they fish more like a moderate action.

@mattstreamadventures10 ай бұрын
Glad to know the video helped someone! I actually made several modifications to the tent since this video but am waiting to test them out, as it was very leaky before hand. If you are still looking for something at a reasonable price that is lightweight, the Ascend Nine Mile tent from Cabelas/Bass Pro looks to have a lot of great reviews and be lighter than most other tents in its price range. Similarly, and a little cheaper the Winterial Bivy Tent is also another popular option.
