Nice work!!! One small suggestion that may help....instead of using the drop saw/miter saw to score the cross grain of the rails for the tenon cut, place the rail in your jig and score the cut with a razor blade before using the router. That should also eliminate tear out.

Thanks, I'll try that next time. Right now I'm glueing everything together, so far so good.

Ah, another IT guy doing woodwork. ONE OF US. There is a splitter that goes behind the blade on the table saw that prevents kickback. I see your lower gut and groin right in line with kickback direction... would suggest you install that guard. Have a look at what can happen if you get hit.... not pretty.

Yep - that saw is a relic, older than a Sinclair Z80 & either never had a riving knife or was lost over the decades. I need to make one.

Hi Bob, 100% get the detail, strength and technical aspects of the joints etc. Did you cinsider 45 deg joints using dowels or biscuits possibly reinforced with resin bond? quick very strong, but maybe out there!. I hear the traditionalists saying joints are better etc but thet build ocean boats using resin and similar joints. I might have been tempted for simplicity purposes to have used 45 deg slotted and dowelled corners backed up with resin bond. In no way does this comment detract from what you have shown and the work round skills involved, just trying to offer ease of effort ideas. Love the channel.

Was thinking of doing that for the window frames, 45 degree joints reinforced with splines. Gorilla Glue is amazing stuff but not easy to find here.

First of all I like your enthusiasm so we've got something to work with, When I get windows or doors I always take an 8x4 sheet 3/4 ply mark out the size on and batten it out write all your cut sizes on the board ( Easy peasy) Then if all your windows are the same size cut the whole lot it saves time. Looking forward to seeing the next video. Robbie from Huyton Liverpool UK 🇬🇧

You have excelled yourself Bob, Two Vlogs in 2 days.. Your tenacity and skills are great. If you have a lot of windows to make, have you considered using a biscuit jointer as a quicker aleternative?
@ChileBob
@ChileBob Ай бұрын
I don't think that would work, biscuits are for furniture & windows need tougher joints. Its a lot faster now the table saw is working properly, I can make a window panel in a few hours.

@@ChileBob Ok, there are window mfg who now use biscuit jointing on windows, granted they are much bigger biscuits, circa 10mm x 50mm x 25mm. To be fair though they are the cheaper frames. Great you sorted the saw out.

I was impressed at how good the "freeway" type roads have such a good surface, then you sort of went off the main roads and it bought back memories of my time in East Africa and their Red Maram soil roads. Would have been great to see a bit of Santiago. Cheers

I've since got some HaLow tranceivers that provide an ethernet bridge using the ISM band (915Mhz). Wasn't expecting much but an initial test with the crappy standard omni antennas gave a 160 metre link at 1Mbps through lots of trees, which is pretty good. Better antennas (directional/Yagui) are on the way, I'll do a video on those at some point.

Thank you for the video. Learned a practical way of making a parabola without the complex maths. Makes me wonder what myriad of complex devices were created using simple techniques, aside from great cathedrals and clocks.

@@jagtan13 I got 6db more (RX power) than with the original antenna, don't know how TX power was affected as I don't have admin access to the other router but should be similar. It works well.

Hello! I have similar setup for my tank. I use the ESP8266 ( Wemos D1 board) instead of the Raspberry Pi (cheaper, no SD card to fail, I use ESPHome firmware). Very easy and reliable, give it a try
@ChileBob

Not tried those (yet). I kinda like the Pi, I'm always tinkering with these things so its nice to ssh in & make changes - plus I'm writing my own automation code 'cos I'm into that.

Just realised my phone picked up sonar pulses from the sensor - you can hear the audio clicking at 10Hz (sample rate).

I heard that too, I didn't know it was a recording artifact. Thought maybe it was just that the sensor was slightly audible.

I think i found the answers, but you did not explain how to convert them into keys. Yes, there are several encryption tools, but many of them give different keys depending on the type of encryption. It would have been better to provide tools to convert the answers into keys, knowing that the average user like me often does not know these matters.

Perhaps the correct answer to this riddle is "Easter Island". Easter Island is a remote place, sometimes referred to as "elsewhere". And it will also be called the Chilean First Lieutenant, since it is Chilean territory. But what to do with this next? Unclear(
@ChileBob
@ChileBob Жыл бұрын
You'll need to solve all three clues and use each answer as the key to decrypt each part of the private key. AES decryption will tell you if each key is valid, that's the way it works. If you try the wrong key it will tell you. There are plenty of online encrypt/decrypt tools. When you have decrypted all three parts you will have the entire private key for the Ycash wallet & can send the funds to any address. Hope that helps. PS: Not going to help solve the puzzles, 'cos they're puzzles - but I will publish another clue if the funds have not been claimed when there are 100 subscribers to the channel.
