I always thought that it seemed wrong to want saving from these idols and how odd it was whether or not we were chosen for saving. If your saved your special and god loves you if your not god is testing you. I’ve noticed that beings who are always waiting for an answer, who constantly being “tested” eventually become bitter and cynical. Waiting for a call back. Waiting for a miracle. Wanting to feel a connection, a response, acknowledgement, affirmation.

I think some of these clubs memberships don't really conform to these standards. I have 3 family members in these clubs that don't come from generational wealth. I think Dr. Omar's description is far more accurate.

Floor still needs to be repaired because of the water damage. Has the drainage issue even be addressed? I am willing to bet that it hasn't. The floor in it's current state is a trip hazard waiting to happen as well as potential law suits. Kids are going to be tripping, falling and getting injured. And this is what he would call, "black excellence"? The kids certainly deserve better especially opening a gym with existing trip hazards because root issues were never addressed.

As far as the Black Talented Tenth. I remember reading an article where the writer felt that Affirmative Action had the effect of "exporting" the Talented Tenth away from Black communities and into white businesses. This he said had reduced the numbers of those Black Talented Tenth who could have stayed in Black communities to build businesses which could be providing more employment for Blacks.
