OK, so this performance cuts out before Act 4 scene 2 of a 5-Act play. Which diminishes Portia's in-disguise reaction which identifies Shylock as the least of her concerns. I'd rate the performance-production as mostly OK/good enough, a bit rough around the edges sure, but I would especially commend the tableaux staging (appreciate the artistic direction here). But no production in 2017 should omit the section of Shylock's defence which was apparently acceptable even to the censors circa 1600: What judgment shall I dread, doing no wrong? You have among you many a purchased slave, Which, like your asses and your dogs and mules, You use in abject and in slavish parts, Because you bought them: shall I say to you, Let them be free, marry them to your heirs? Why sweat they under burthens? let their beds Be made as soft as yours and let their palates Be season'd with such viands? You will answer 'The slaves are ours:' so do I answer you: The pound of flesh, which I demand of him, Is dearly bought; 'tis mine and I will have it.

Please remember this was filmed at a REHEARSAL, so is still a bit 'rough around the edges'.....but none the less , enjoyable.

Did you skip the first two parts of act 1? How much did you skip, if you don't mind my asking?

@@angelshi4708I think that person meant it as a complement. Saying that it’s so good that it shocked them that it was a rehersal
